But keep in mind that Tiki has show no decline yet and may be able to play at a high level with limited carries. I’m not thinking he is going to be John Riggins, but he could be an effective Darren Sproles type player right now.

Tiki was a pretty good RB in 2006 when he retired. but a good RB isn’t that hard to find anymore and, once they start to decline, they decline rapidly. look at guys like Sean Alexander and even LaDanian Tomlinson. Those guys were top of the league but Alexander isn’t even playing anymore and LaDanian is on a visible downward slope.

You’re right though, Tiki could be a decent 2nd RB. but he’s already 35 and that is ANCIENT for a RB of any capacity.

If Tiki wanted to play longer, he should have never retired to begin with.

Seems to me it’s a good way to show the world that Tiki is in “football shape”, just structure the contract that he can league for an BFK+L job with a weeks notice and no transfer fee.

I think he can be an effective second RB in the NFL (5 to 10 touches a game). This guy was at the top of the league when he left, he won’t be that good, but could be better than most second RB’s

Last I saw, UFL teams were being sued becuase they owe a lot of people a lot of money. I wouldn’t be so quick to go there to get the crap get kicked out of me, and then not even get paid. That’s called street football.

So he’d only make $50,000 a year. I don’t think Tiki has any other job offers that are in that price range at the moment.

If there IS a UFL next year. Which is doubtful.
Tiki needs the cash. He’d sign on for league minimum in the NFL before wasting his time in a league that’s likely to fold within the year.
