The funny part about that, though, is that the Steelers are slowly ebbing as all the clutch players are getting old. I think it’s pretty apparent to anyone who can project a year or 2 or 3 down the road that the Steelers are gonna return to the non-factor they were in the 80s and, uh, pretty much their entire history prior to the 70s. So if that’s where Tiki wants to go be a back-up and ride some coat tails to the SB, he’s probably interested in the wrong team.

Has he committed enough crimes against women and done enough drugs to be considered for the Steelers? I could see Lawrence Taylor being a great fit for Pittsburgh’s culture but I’m not sure Tiki is enough of a sociopath to make the cut there.

Huh? Why the Steelers? Mendenhall is a beast, and Moore and Redman are quite strong. I think the Lions would be a perfect fit for him myself. Or maybe the Seahawks.

That’s unreal. The NY Post article says “Tiki may sign with the Steelers”, implying that a signing will be imminent with the new CBA, but the whole article is about how Tiki “would like to” play for the Steelers, probably doing damage control from when he bashed Roethlisberger in the past. The actual article even says that there have been no discussions with the team. That’s a pretty big leap from “Tiki wants to play for a contender” to “Tiki may sign with X team.”

Isn’t this the idiot that quit on his team, quoting that he wanted to be able to walk away from the game healthy?? Well he did that, so stay away.. I don’t think alot of NFL fans like to see quitters play.. Especially since the only motivation here is money instead of the passion for the game.. And I’m sure Giants fans are really happy he decided to quit, hince them winning a super the very next year..

What a yankbag. You should just shut up already, before you makes an even bigger ass of yourself in the public picture. Use your degree and get a job in that field, and come to the realization that you aren’t the “megastar” you think you are. No one in the NFL cares to carry you to get the ring that, thanks to you retiring, the Giants were able to achieve in 2007.

This report is obviously one-sided, and that being his camp making the most noise – feeding the press these insane “team interest” ideas. This guy couldn’t beat out Mewelde Moore in Pittsburgh.

He deserves nothing less. I had nothing against Barber until I found out he left his pregnant wife and kids to hook up with a 23 year old intern at NBC. I think we would all like to go back to a time when we nailed 23 year old chicks but you’re never going to win the PR battle when you leave a pregnant wife to do so.

Let’s cut to the chase. Tiki didn’t cut it in TV, screwed up his personal life and can no longer afford to live in the Big Apple. He’s looking for a 7 figure payday. Who really, truly needs a 37 y/o RB with 4 years on the shelf, who was NEVER considered a team leader in the first place?
