This whole thing makes me want to vomit. Plus, I wonder what the legal fees for all this “litigation” is, for both sides. Those are the financial records I want to see. Add up all the legal costs of litigation and split it down the middle and that should cover all of the money they are fighting of. If the owners paid the players about a tenth of what they are probably paying their lawyers, they probably wouldnt need that extra billion.

Wake up Smith and players union! Put your big guns out in front Manning,Brady,Rogers,Brees, Rivers, Big Ben etc . This is a quarterback driven league and they have the money to endure a a long strike. Just the quarterbacks coming out taking a stand on not crossing during a strike sends a message to the league and fans .

When a new CBA is eventually announced, it will be very interesting to learn who will have jurisdiction over legal issues between the NFL Management Council and the NFLPA.

There are several owners who want to break the union, and who would consider an agreement now as a serious lose of face. My guess is that the only way that this ends is for the league to get severely slapped by the courts. That’s what overbearing arrogance will do for you.

unemployment payouts almost equal soccial security payouts.

According to other soutrces, the CBA extension expires at 11:59 PM, but decertification must be filed by 5PM.

Given the pro union stance of this site, as well as all the players who likely read this site, is it safe to assume PFT is helping the players dig in?

PFT continues to push the owners into giving out financials that few, if any, private businesses release. That’s despite the fact that the NFL has given the union far, far more in that respect than the union has ever gotten before.

The union may see themselves as a partner, which may be true to an extent, but they’re still employees.
