Getty ImagesOn Thursday afternoon, NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith promised an update on labor negotiations on Friday at 2 p.m. ET.
Well, it’s 2:15 p.m. ET and Smith is reportedly on a conference call as we type, according to Gary Myers of the New York Daily News.
Silence has been golden on this Friday, with apparent progress being made in the talks. We should have an update on where things stand very shortly.
UPDATE: The union’s television crew has arrived on the scene, indicating Smith will be talking soon.

Dear players: if you wanted to negotiate you should have elected David Cornwell.
Maybe the TV crew is to tape De’s special appearance on What Up With That.
Awww, this is the worst looking hat I ever saw. I bet when you buy it you get a free bowl of soup.
Looks good on you though!
I’m sorry… did you say the UNION’s television crew?
Is that for the NFLPA Network?
Hopefully, he’ll be sharing his recipe for humble pie…
More lies made by D.Smith…..
