APFor the second time in two days, we have news to pass along that the NFL has reduced one of their most memorable fines of the season.
A league source informs PFT that Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan’s fine for his part in a fight with Andre Johnson was reduced from $25,000 to $15,000.
The NFL appeared to establish a precedent with the $25,000 fine. It was the same amount that Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour got for his open handed-slap on Ben Roethlisberger.
The league has many bigger problems to work out, but coming up with a fair and consistent system for fines should be part of a new CBA.

oh good now he has $$$ to pay his insurance!
After further review, the NFL determined that Finnegan is nothing more that a punk-bitch and is not worthy of a $25,000 fine.
it’s still crazy to me how players get much heavier fines for, in the NFL’s eyes, tackling someone in an unsafe and incorrect way. these two idiots ripped their helmets off and brawled like it was football on ice. unless the league is going to “not see it” like the NHL, these bastards need to be FINED- not slapped on the wrist.
