Short of a current player pulling an O.J. Simpson, I never dreamed that the fine folks who produce the top news-and-general-interest morning show on television would have any specific or general interest in talking to us about pro football.
Enter the lockout.
The fact that the NFL’s labor strife has landed on the radar screen of NBC’s Today show means that the situation occupies a spot on the radar screen of mainstream America.
And that’s not good for anyone.
Except for us.
That said, we still want the damn thing to end.
