Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s message to Patriots fans indicated that last Friday’s offer from the owners was negotiable.

On Tuesday’s PFT Live, Packers CEO Mark Murphy furthered that point by saying he thought the offer would have been good enough to spark more negotiations.

It appears there won’t be any negotiations until after April 6. No matter what your feelings are in this labor battle, it feels like we’re wasting everyone’s time when the two sides aren’t talking.

Murphy told Florio Tuesday that the owners would welcome mediated negotiations anytime between now and April 6. The players haven’t publicly rejected that notion as of yet, but it seems clear more talks won’t happen.

The longer the sides don’t talk, the tougher it may be to make a deal. At some point, Murphy warned, the deal on the table could decrease because of lost revenue that comes in the meantime.
