I hate Kolb. But give him credit. He is the first QB in history to have his first two starts be back to back 300 yard passing games. Not to mention he has won offensive player of the week twice in the NFC in 6 or 7 starts. That is impressive. I think whichever team trades their first for Kolb will get an average starter, but I give him credit for his production when the team needed him to hold the fort until Vick (and McNabb in 2009) came back. He was a good soldier about being the backup. I'm pretty sure Kolb has outplayed the two big name QBs in his draft class already (Quinn and JaWalrus). And this coming from an Eagles fan who hates Kolb. Don't be ignorant and compare him to Brady Quinn. I know I'd take Kolb over the "golden boy" in a heartbeat

Here's a question. Who has more trade value right now - Kevin Kolb or Matt Flynn?

Kolb has played more, obviously, but he's already rung up a concussion as well as a few poor starts. Flynn only has the one start but played very well, has a winning track record from college and has backed up one of the better QBs in the league. I think they're both worth a 2nd rounder at best.

Tennessee has one QB on the roster - Rusty Smith - and pick 8.
A good a guess as any. I don't see Cincy trading their #4 pick unless it's a draft day trade which Cincy never does anyway.
AZ, Seattle, SF who knows..

I'm quite sure that no team has said that. It probably came from the Eagles to try to get out of Kolb from some team that offered less than a first round pick.

Think about it. No team is going to advertise to the media that they are going to give their first round pick up for a player they want. That doesnt make any sense.

So, I'm betting in the end that the Eagles get nothing more than a second round pick for Kolb, and that this story is a bunch of bull.

Why is Kolb's stock so high? Is it because it's such a QB starved league at the moment?

I don't see any other reason why a team would trade a 1st rounder for a guy who has literally proven nothing; unless you count losing his job to Michael Vick as proving something

the problem with what people think of kolb is that his stats dont tell the whole story. and eagle fans for the most part complain about everything. non eagle fans never saw him play except for the 1st half of the packers game, which was the worst half of footbal i ever saw him play. the 6 other games he played, he played well except for one.

he came in for mop up duty his first two years and threw a couple pics. and he threw 4 hail mary pics last season, plus the last game against dallas we rested all our starters and played kolb vs dallas first team, he obviouls played poorly in that game. so his stats look bad. but go back and look at his stats for the games he started and finished, exclude the dallas game. you give this guy time to practice with teh first team and SHOULD be a pretty good qb.

Yes, Fat Andy needs to get a better pick, so he can draft another defensive lineman, sign him to a Banner loving long term deal after 2 years, and when he turns out to be rotation player, say, we need to do a better job there…..
———————————————————

Dude…relax. Do you remember Kotite & Rhodes eras? Andy’s a pretty good coach.
————————————–
No he isn’t, hell Rhodes and Kotite have the same resume as Reid….They won a playoff game as eagles HC…..And nothing more, same as Reid…He’s a horrible game day coach, who the next time he makes halftime adjustments as to how the other team is defending his offense, will be the first, he can’t draft first round playmakers any better than Paris Hilton can. All Andy Reid, Banner, and Lurie….Better known as Moe Larry and Curly are content with is the status quo, and filling their pockets…..This Andy Reid is a good coach crap is getting old….If it wasn’t for TO, he would have never made it to a Super Bowl…13 years and it will always always end the same……
--------------------------------------------------------
Seriously? You can't admit that Reid has been more successful than Kotite/Rhodes? He consistently wins 10 to 12 games every year. And here are some first round playmakers for you: McNabb, Corey Simon, Lito Sheppard, Shawn Andrews, Mike Patterson, Brodrick Bunkley. Some fizzled out, some got hurt, but they all contributed and played very well at one point. Plus, when you can find guys like Celek, D. Jackson, and Cole after round 1, you're doing ok in the draft.

Are you kidding me? Palmer for a 1st and 3rd? No freakin' way. They'll be lucky to get just the 3rd for Palmer if they had any intention on trading him in the first place. Acquiring Kolb (for a much less price mind you) wouldn't be all that bad considering what their alternatives are without Palmer and the horrible guys in the draft. However, this is Mikey Boy Brown you're talking about...the Bungals...you know...the garbage franchise? They'd never make this trade to begin with and will probably draft yet another complete bust like $cam Newton.

Not even seattle would give up their first and third (they don't have a third this year) for Palmer. Couldn't the mystery team draft they player Philly wants and after the CBA gets done trade that player for Kolb?

They might as well get what they can out of him. Assuming the lockout doesnt run into the season, He is under contract for one more year and then he will mostly likely bolt as a free agent. If he bolts, you are out a second round pick plus whatever you would have gotten for him in a trade. I would not give up a top fifteen draft pick for him however.

I can't see Seattle doing unless they really are not thrilled with Whitehurst. One possible team could be Carolina.
I'd be open to letting Vick go. If we could get more for em, wtf does it matter.. We need a new RG & RT for whoever is back there.

then a CB thats above 5'9 & an LB that is above 23olbs.. then a DT thats not 6ft. doubt any of this will happen.

Kevin Kolb was a 2nd round selection. In his tenure as a starter, he is 3-4. He has a career QB rating of just over 73 and in the past two seasons, he has thrown just one more TD than INT. If anyone trades a first round pick for him, even a second round pick for him, then the Eagles are geniuses and they just swindled the other team.

It would actually be in the Bengals best interests to make this move. If they trade their 1st rounder for Kolb, they can trade Palmer to Seatle for their 1st and 3rd and have nearly equal value in the draft.

--------------------------------------
No he isn't, hell Rhodes and Kotite have the same resume as Reid....They won a playoff game as eagles HC.....And nothing more, same as Reid...He's a horrible game day coach, who the next time he makes halftime adjustments as to how the other team is defending his offense, will be the first, he can't draft first round playmakers any better than Paris Hilton can. All Andy Reid, Banner, and Lurie....Better known as Moe Larry and Curly are content with is the status quo, and filling their pockets.....This Andy Reid is a good coach crap is getting old....If it wasn't for TO, he would have never made it to a Super Bowl...13 years and it will always always end the same......
