Hasselbeck has won 5 of the last 7 NFC West titles, and has started in 11 playoff games with a 50% winning record as a Seahawk (that's 21st-best of all time).

While he's steadily declined over the past 3 years, he's also had 3 different head coaches, OC's, and set of talent to work with...Oh, and that OL and running game has stunk pretty bad since 2005-2006.

Any team running a WCO with a solid line and running game, would be in a great position to include him as a stop-gap. The Vikings would be a perfect fit if the Seahawks don't bite. And honestly, I'd rather have Kolb, Locker, or Mallett at this point (emphasis on Kolb).

What about Charlie Whitehurst? He looked pretty good against the Rams and got Seattle into the playoffs. I don't understand how Kolb is better or more proven than CW. It seems to me that either way, these guys are gonna have to play in order to see...I actually give CW a slight edge over Kolb @ this point. ONLY time
(playing) will tell.

So they don't have to move picks right away in his first season as HC, this may be an excellent signing for the Vikings to persue. They can sign Hasselbeck to a 3 yr deal & coming from the school of Holmgren, Matt will fit right in to Frazier's system.

Not going QB this season in the draft leaves them an option to be in or get in position to take Luck, Barkley, or Lance Jones from OK & develop that QB for a season. IMO + I would guess mostly anyone else with a brains opinion, is that Luck & Barkley are much better pro prospects than Newton or Gabbert.

I really don't get why anybody would want this horrible quaterback. He's like an older version of Jason Cambpell. He had one good year which happened to be the year another teamate on his team won the MVP and was the key for why the team had success (Shaun Alexander)

Hassleback is crap, has always been crap, and will always be crap.

Kevin Kolb will equally take you nowhere.

Any team who'd invest in Hassleback has no intent of being a winning team
