Marvin Lewis mocks Ochocinco’s soccer tryout

Chad Ochocinco AP

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis’ increasing willingness to poke fun at Chad Ochocinco has been one of the funnier stories of the offseason.  It’s as if Lewis knows Ochocinco is as good as gone, so he’s finally speaking his mind freely.

Here’s Lewis on Ocho’s dalliance with Major League Soccer: “What has he ever done that he’s completed? What circle has he connected in any way?” Lewis asked.

Ouch.

We can’t wait to hear what Lewis says when Ochocinco is officially no longer on the team.

Ochocinco is probably better at soccer than Lewis is at coaching.

    You gotta love the Bengals

One might pose the same question to Marvin Lewis.

He’s right all chad does is talk… oh, and drop every ball that hits him in the hands on 3rd and “absolutely must convert”.

Ocho-Cinco, I say hats off to you for giving it the old college try.

Changes his name, competed on dancing with the stars, got drafted, became a franchise all time leading receiver, at one point was considered the best receiver in football, brought excitement back to the lowly cincinnati bengals franchise, etc.

what have you done mr. lewis?

  7. biggerballz says: Mar 22, 2011 12:02 PM

marvin lewis the only reason you weren’t fired years ago was the bengals are too cheap to pay you for firing you. you are one of the worst coaches in the league and you took a talented team and turned them into clowns like you.

Mr. Lewis you are wrong. I will list one thing that Chad has done to its completion. Chad has never done anything to its completion by itself is something that Chad has done to its completion.

On one hand, we have the Bengals idiot owner saying he doesn’t understand that trading Palmer is better than letting Palmer retire.

On the other hand, we have the Bengals loser coach saying that some spanish guy can’t draw a circle.

    Awesome.

Marv is getting sick of Och. Especially when he would come bounding into the dressing room shouting, “Are we ready for some FUTBOL?”.

  11. coolzog says: Mar 22, 2011 12:22 PM

Marvin Lewis is speaking from experience as a coach who has come “full circle”. He took the Bengals from an embarassment to a playoff team, now right back to an embarassment.

The Bengals are an absolute mess.

Marvin: Chad you never complete anything.

    Chad: Pot meet Kettle

Ochocinco was never considered the best receiver in the game. That is just what U Bengals fans thought.

Bengals should be great this year!

    No QB.
    No RB.
    No WR’s.

Marvin Lewis for Coach of Year!

The rest of the NFL Fans mock the Bengals > The Bengals make a mockery of Marvin Lewis > Lewis mocks Chad Johnson… the Circle of Lif… er, I mean the Circle of Crap continues.

Ole’ Marvy is by no means a great coach, but after putting up with with so many horrible character guys (Ocho, Tank, Pacman, Henrey, T.O.) I don’t blame him for letting a few zingers fly. Besides, he has the worst owner in the league to thank for the mess he has on his hands.

  20. infectorman says: Mar 22, 2011 3:15 PM

how does Lewis still have a job? Oh! thats right! Its the Bengals

  21. edgarh21 says: Mar 22, 2011 3:44 PM

Marvin is an idiot who should have been fired a long time ago!

It is actually more embarrassing that Carlos Dunlap is representing the Bengals for the Madden 12 cover, unlike the 12th Man for the Seahawks. I used to follow the Bengals but this is just becoming too childish for me. Not just from Chad, Chad is Chad, but from people like Marvin and Carson too pretending to be sophisticated adults when in reality they’re as much of clowns as chad is. Media portrays these two guys as diffrent than Chad but in reality the whole organization is a circus.

  22. whoknowsnothing says: Mar 22, 2011 3:53 PM

I hope Chad leaves the bengals and joins the Ravens or Steelers just so he can come back and do the river dance in lewis’s face!!!!!!

but if he does leave he might just end up with the Rams.

No one person speaks for the city you idiot. Chad still has a ton of supporters in Cinci.

    ————————–

From 2003 to 2006, Chad led the NFL in receiving all 4 years. This was over guys like Andre Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Hines Ward. Please feel free to name another WR who has done that.

And in 2006 he led the entire league in receiving.

So yeah, Chad was definitely in the conversation for being best WR in the NFL.
