I didn’t think much of pro days either until someone let me know that they are more about ELIMINATING guys than looking for reasons to draft them. In other words, if Joe Player can’t perform the drills they want to run him through with the most ideal conditions possible around him, it’s a check mark in the “no” column. It doesn’t strike me as something HCs need to attend personally anyway. Scouts or position coaches/coordinators know what their team is looking for enough to do that.

when we first hired chan i had no idea who he was and to be honest, wasnt very high on him. Now i love the guy. The more i hear this guy talk the more i BILLieve he is going to turn this team around into a contender. Go bills

i second that motion on Chan not attending Pro Days, it’s all scripted. The flim don’t lie that why ryan mallett is the best qb in this years class and the reason why mallett will come into the nfl with a chip on his shoulders. i still beleive mallett will b drafted in the top 10.

I’ve made fun of Chan Gailey in particular and the Bills organization in general plenty on here, but I have to tell you, I am in completely in agreement with him on this one.

Pro Days are a charade. Give ‘em a physical, interview ‘em, and watch the damn tape.
