florence was a pleasant surprize for the bills. he turned out to have alot left in the tank and has become a fan favorite in bills country. i, for one, wish him well.

I don’t understand some of the negative comments posted here about Drayton Florence. You can debate his talent level all you want but you can’t knock his motives and passion for the game of football. With all the negative stories involving players recently (arrests, slavery comparisons etc.) it’s refreshing to see an obviously intelligent guy turn a negative circumstance into a positive. Here’s a guy who gets it and I for one applaud him for it.

This guy is the smartest of the ‘work stoppage workers’ yet.
Getting coaching experience WHILE still playing in (when it starts up again) the league.
Easy transition to NFL coaching to follow.

There will be no winners in this labor stoppage. The fans again will be the loser as the owners will raise ticket prices at whatever concessions they give to the players. After it is settled they will be an attempt to give the fans some sort of goody for all it will have to go through but in the end the fans will pay for it. As the country goes through a widening gulf behind the political parties the fans are facing the same issue with the NFL. Each political party promises a birth to death security but who pays for it the hard working citizen, the NFL and players keep gouging the fans.

MF your bias and hatered of all things NFL has permiated in to every post of yours. We get it we get it, you are on the players side. But stop with your jabs on the leauge. It just makes you look amateurish and biased.

Yea, that’ll show the evil NFL! And just think of the thousands of people who will line up to buy tickets so they can see guys coached by Drayton Florence!

I’m sure the NFL owners are meeting right now to consider changing their entire strategy.

Marty could’ve drafted Troy Polamalu in 2003, but traded the pick and drafted Sammy Davis and Florence instead. Davis was worse than worthless; Florence was just worthless.
