BULGER had a patchwork of an offensive line, over 90 different starting offensive lines during his final 3 years on the team, can you even name one receiver left in the league from his WR core besides Donnie Avery (who was always hurt during Bulger’s final 3 years)? No cheating, no googling.

It does and should hold water.The team that Bradford and Bulger had were completely different in some of most important positions,most notably LT and RG. Incognito and alex barron, both incredibly inconsistent, terrible pass blocking lineman,and also almost always fought each other for team leading penalties were gone. In fact, I believe incognito lead the league in penalties that year, or barron. It was one of the 2.

Secondly, Who did the rams have at wide out for Bulger? Whoever decided to go through the revolving door..From Starting Donnie avery and tim Carter (yea,tim carter..mr.i drop a td wide open vs vikings) to whoever you wanted to add/trade for.

Bulger didn’t stand a chance that year – I don’t think Bradford would either..

Might hold water if it wasn’t for one problem: a rookie by the name of Sam Bradford, who did better with a patchwork offensive line AND wide receivers that should have been playing the Arena League.

1.) Sign Bulger
2.) Give in to the ridiculous trade demands the Eagles are asking for Kolb
3.) Keep my fingers crossed that the Bengals trade Palmer
4.) Use my first pick to reach on one QBs in this extremely poor draft class
5.) Stick with who they currently have on their roster, which includes the likes of Whitehurst, A Smith, and Skelton/Hall

I’ll take Bulger if those are my options.

exactly and to this point if you disliked this think about it you have two teams in one division fighting over a guy who is clearly past his prime. The best team in the division was 9-7?

As a Rams fan, I both hope somebody else in the division picks him up, and pity them (Bulger < Warner, pretty sure there).

why do they need to bring in bulger to tank in 2011?? just keep alex smith at the helm

Bulger’s biggest problem was the lack of an offensive line to protect him. As a Ram fan, after all the years I spent watching him – just give him a line and some receivers that he can actually work with, and he can still shred a defense.He looked pretty sharp with the Ravens’ 1′s this year in the pre-season.

Fortunately, The niners and Cardinals do not have good offensive lines that can protect well.
