Laura Vikmanis is, at age 42, the NFL’s oldest cheerleader. And she’s about to become the most famous as well.
Vikmanis, one of the Cincinnati Ben-Gals, is having her life story turned into a movie, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
As a 39-year-old mom to two teenage daughters, Vikmanis got into cheerleading after her husband left her. Screenwriter Kathy Greenberg says it’s a story as inspirational as that of Ravens left tackle Michael Oher.
“It’s really a feel good populist story in the vein of Blind Side,” Greenberg said. “It’s got more comedy to be sure, but it’s an earnest story.”
