Cam’s talented, handsome, and charming. That attracts attention. So does a dirty-dealing preacher. You’d ask Coach Meyer? Meyer dumped him. That’s the same Coach Meyer who let guys with arrest records stay on the team. Kinda speaks volumes, doesn’t it?

Everytime Profootballtalk mentions Cam Newton, they get about over 50 responses.

Like I said from the begining, the guy who wrote this article is irresponsible and gives journalism a bad name.

If I had to ask about Cam Newton’s character I would ask his coach at Auburn or coach Meyer. You guys are making a bigger fuss about the stolen laptop that Newton bought, then the guy whose laptop was stolen.

If Gabbert is more appealing to some people it is probably because he doesn’t bring the carnival to town every time he’s in public. I personally feel Gabbert will be nothing more than a mediocre QB in the NFL but I certainly think he has more upside for most franchises than Newton because he comes across as being “real”.

…i missed the part about his arm strength, accuracy (or lack there of), mobility…basically the things that make him an athlete. I don’t remember seeing any measurable at the combine for everything Nawrocki listed. What a draft guide!

Here’s a stat for you… Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers have never stolen a laptop. Personalities matter in a game that challenges you mentally as much as physically.

What exactly are Mr. Curran’s credentials? Where did he pick up his psych. degree to be able to come up with the analysis that Newton is “disengenuous”?

Why don’t we ask the players who shared a locker room with him at UF, Blinn and Auburn if he “struggles to command respect” or “can’t win a locker room”.

You would think most teams doing due diligence would reach the same conclusions as PFW. I hope Hurney and Richardson don’t take a chance, spending your top pick on a QB for 3 straight years is when I run out of confidence.

Not to mention, they took two qb’s in last years draft. Claussen and Tony Pike.
