At least one “good prospect” tested positive at Scouting Combine

As the calendar approaches April, so does the potential flurry of reports regarding players who tested positive for banned substances at the Scouting Combine.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that at least one “good prospect” generated a positive urine test in February during his visit to Indianapolis.

The source hasn’t supplied a name. And even if the source did, we wouldn’t be repeating it here without confirmation.

A couple of years ago, false reports of positive tests appeared on two websites. Two of the players who were falsely accused of testing positive -- B.J. Raji and Clay Matthews -- received a karma-type reward via their Super Bowl championship with the Packers. Another one -- Brian Cushing -- later tested positive for a banned substance and served a four-game suspensions.
