Jerry’s giant TV loses its crown

cowboysx-inset-community

As the late Roy Scheider possibly would say to Jerry Jones, “You’re gonna need a bigger board.”

The four-sided drive-in movie screen at Cowboys Stadium soon will no longer be the largest video board in any sports arena. Per Sean Leahy of USA Today, officials at Charlotte Motor Speedway have unveiled a new video screen that will be 30 percent larger than the centerpiece of Jones’ billion-dollar man-canyon.

Jones’ screen is 80 feet tall. The screen at Charlotte Motor Speedway will span 110 feet.

The new board will debut on May 29. And if the folks at Charlotte Motor Speedway really want to one-up Jones, they should make sure that every ticket sold for the race will have a corresponding seat.
