Pro Football Hall of Famer Tommy McDonald is missing the championship ring that he won with the 1960 Philadelphia Eagles.
The 76-year-old McDonald told Ray Didinger of CSNPhilly.com that he thinks he misplaced the ring at King of Prussia Mall.
“I don’t know what happened to it,” McDonald said. “I was looking for it [last week] and realized it was gone. I thought I just misplaced it [at home], but I looked and it’s not here. I’d sure like to have it back.”
Didinger has asked anyone who has any idea where the ring is to contact him at viewfromthehall@comcast.net.
McDonald won the ring for the 1960 NFL Championship Game, in which his Eagles beat Vince Lombardi’s Green Bay Packers, 17-13. McDonald caught a 35-yard touchdown pass in the game.

76 year old who loses something, that’s uncommon…..I hope its returned to him, so he can continue to show the Philly football fans what a NFL championship ring looks like. 51years and counting since their last one, no wonder *eagleswin* will watch scab ball.

What a shame. I had the privilege of meeting Tommy – twice – and both times he was as friendly and generous as can be. Great man. I hope his ring turns up.

Tommy McDonald confronted me one time while getting gas. He sees my Eagles hat on and walks around the gas pump to talk football. He goes, “You look young, but believe it or not, I played for the Eagles” I said, “Yeah, I know, you’re Tommy McDonald, right?” He looked stunned someone in their 20′s knew of him. He let my try on his 1960 Championship ring and his Hall Of Fame ring and take a pic on my cell phone. He just might be the nicest guy alive, but also the most aloof ;( I hope he gets his ring back.
Just buy William “The Refrigerator” Perry’s. Same difference.
