It’s been reported in a few places that the Colts were set to host Clemson defensive end Da’Quan Bowers this week for a private visit.
Bowers will be in Indianapolis this week, but a league source confirms to PFT that it will only be for a medical re-check. He will not meet with the Colts. Bowers will take medical tests in Indy to be sent out to the rest of the league.
Following Bowers’ Pro Day last week, the nation’s leading sack artist from 2010 is spending Monday evening and Tuesday in Denver. He’ll then head to Buffalo for a visit Wednesday, and go to Tennessee to meet with the Titans from there. His work week ends in Indianapolis on Friday for the re-check.
Bowers may be working out for teams longer than any other prospect in the draft. It’s quite possible teams will want to see how Bowers looks all the way up until the week before the draft. Bowers has six visits scheduled from April 11-April 18.
