Add Redskins, Titans to list of teams that would like to trade down

We mentioned earlier this week that the Broncos would love to trade down from their No. 2 overall spot, but it’s going to be difficult.

They aren’t the only teams in the top ten that would like to add picks by moving back.  Rob Rang of CBSSports.com reports the Titans and Redskins are also “exploring their options” about moving down.

Their reasons are probably similar.  Both teams have a lot of needs, including at quarterback.  If Cam Newton and Blaine Gabbert are gone, the Titans and Redskins would probably prefer to trade back in the first round, grab extra picks, and then take a quarterback.

This approach is preferable to trading up to get back into the first round, especially for Washington which is missing two mid-round picks.  That doesn’t mean the approach is easier.

Everyone wants to trade down; finding someone to trade up is the tricky part.   Teams also seem to like the idea of trading down in theory weeks before the draft better than they do in practice when they are actually on the clock and a player they want is available.

But..but……I thought the Skins got the greatest QB in the history of the NFL just last easter….Why do they need a QB?…..Where are the Skins fans who said they robbed the Eagles?…..hello?

Almost every team is looking to trade down if the right deal is offered. Just like every team has a player they would love to fall to their position. This is a nice filler piece that means absolutely nothing.

great post jw….they all talk all this crap and then go into hiding. Biggest debactable in NFL history is all i can say with that deal.

Org is a joke as the eagles obviously saw that mcnabb sucks and the 4skins still took the bait. Now they have no QB and will languish in the cellar for yrs to come with rat boy getting canned in 2 yrs.

I think just about every team in the top 10 wants to trade down, no franchise QB this year!!!

There are a lot of really good players, but I don’t see anyone who just stands out like Shu did last year!

Boysroll, are you serious???.Some Redskins fans did get a little excited when they got Mcnabb but You and your Cowboy faithful went crazy talking about how Dallas was going to be the 1st team in history to have home field advantage in the Superbowl,So how did that work out for you???.You are always bashing the Redskins so remember this.Dallas finished 6 and 10 just like the Redskins did!!!!

If Robert Quinn is still on the board, the Skins may have a trading partner with the Patriots. This may be the year BB trades up

Redskins have plenty of holes to fill so I hope they can trade down to the late teens/early 20’s and add a few picks. Unless Von Miller falls in their lap like Orakpo did…

Biggest debacle in NFL history?? Really?? How about trading for Roy Williams you idiot. A first and a second? Really?? How did that TO situation work out for you guys? Didn’t tear the locker room apart at all did it? Tank Johnson? What about Bledsoe? How about the 2 first rounders to Seattle for Joey Galloway? How did all of these acquisitions work out for you? Every time you open your mouth stupidity just rolls off your tongue. The list of bad acquisitions for your cowgirls goes on and on. So don’t cast stones. I implore you to stop looking at Redskins headlines. You are the dumbest individual on this site and prove it every time you sign on.

By the way…….Dez Bryant will prove to be nothing more than a diva and a wasted draft pick.

    HAIL!!!!

BoysRoll, you make your comeback now? where were you last season when your pantywaist team was 1-5? How surprising that we were not hearing from you then… Your team trumpeted to the airy heights of hosting a Super Bowl at home and PARTICIPATING, you posting bash after bash on the Redskins who turned over half of their roster, and suddenly YOU ARE GONE FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON. Did Mommy unplug that nasty internet cable from Trolldom – her basement? Only now you make your comeback? thank you, Boysroll!!! Your commentary only makes you and your compadres seem far more stupid than we thought and lets us know that Jerry Jones is in like company when you circle-jerk around the star together.

Boysroll, is debactable really a word in your Troll dictionary? Has anyone ever advised you that one so stupid should never advertise his stupidity on the internet? Food for thought – take little bites, it’s all you can handle.
