Chris Johnson thinks Vince Young could be sticking around

On Thurday, Silva pointed out that Titans running back Chris Johnson wants the team to draft quarterback Cam Newton.

But it looks like Johnson’s first preference is to not have to draft a quarterback at all.

Johnson said Thursday that he wants the team to keep Vince Young.  Johnson believes that, with coach Jeff Fisher gone, there’s a chance Young will indeed stay.

“It is not etched in stone that Vince is going to be gone, so I am not sure what they are going to do at quarterback,” Johnson said, per Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.  “A lot of things have changed in the last few months, so maybe Vince will be back?

“At first it was set in stone when Coach Fisher was here because he didn’t want Vince back.  It was an either-or situation then.  Now that Coach Fisher is gone, everything is up in the air.  We’ll just see what happens.”

That said, the Titans have said that, even with Fisher gone, Vince Young won’t be back.

Then again, the Titans also had said that Fisher would be back.

So maybe Johnson is right.

Who wants Randy to stick around?

That’s because Chris Johnson is a bigger idiot than Vince Young. Whoever is stupid enough to have Vince Young on their team gets what they deserve.

No going to happen. Not V.Y. returning, not Cam (V.Y.2.0) coming to the Titans. Let the icons work elsewhere since they are so smart.

what no negative comment about Ryan Mallett?

you know he’s not as athletic as VY

Getting VY back would be the best move the Titans could do right now. But they need receivers to help whichever QB they have. VY never had decent receivers.

VY is 30-17 as a starter under a coach who didnt believe in him. The Titans were 5-2 and look what happened when Vince was gone, they finished 1-8…… The dude is still young and has lots of potential… Love to hate this dude but he’s a pure winner….. apparantly people like to hate on winning?

have the titans ever had a good receiver? even that “arm stretched out at the 1 yd line” dude was a bum. get VY some weapons to throw to.
