Former Bears quarterback Bobby Douglass was charged with felony trespassing on Wednesday night, according to the Chicago Tribune.
A Bear from 1969 to 1975, Douglass set the record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 968 yards in 1972. The mark stood for 34 years.
The 63-year-old is accused of breaking down the door to his girlfriend’s apartment.
We blame the lockout.

LOL
Bobby had a gunslinging left arm and he was always running for his life out of the pocket. He was a tough cookie and hard to bring down, so said his opponents.
Grow up Bobby. You’re 63, not 23.
I give the guy props for being able to break down a door at age 63.
Yards per game rushing, best season(Douglas still have the record):
1. Douglas: 69.14
2. Vick: 64.94
3. Cunningham: 58.87
4. Young: 33.56
Unfortunately, only one guy up here could consistently throw. Douglas was the worst by far.
Apparently even in the offseason, Bears QBs get intercepted. Some things never change.
Guy sounds a lot like the Tim Tebow of the 1970s. Big, athletic, lefty who would just as soon run as pass.
Guy had a career QB rating of 48. He probably could have been arrested for “forward passing”.
Remember that QB stats prior to the 1980s need to be taken with a grain of salt. Still, Douglass was not exactly an ace passer.
Funny!!!
good one hobartbaker!!!
does this reset the arrest watch?
