FBI

A relatively quiet Monday afternoon in the NFL experienced a jolt when Josina Anderson of FOX31 in Denver and Showtime’s Inside the NFL wrote he following tweet:

“Source: Just heard federal agents raided an athletic training facility in Florida this am where NFL/CFL players and college prospects train,” Anderson wrote.

It’s hard to comment further or know how big this story really is until we get more information.   For now, no one else has any further details on the story.  We’ll let you know when we know more.

Federal agents raid a sports facility, ummm let’s see, how about a picture of computer generated antagonist from a science fiction movie . . .yeah that would be perfect! Might as well just put a picture of Darth Vader, at least he is from good movies.

  19. bigd4defense says: Apr 18, 2011 4:14 PM

    I love the agents pic.

  20. goawayeverybody says: Apr 18, 2011 4:16 PM

Good. Keep the athletes scared they’re going to get caught cheating.

    Lol. Kudos on the picture…

  22. kingdm8 says: Apr 18, 2011 4:18 PM

Nice picture of Agent Smith. For as much time as I spend reading this site for updates on the NFL, sometimes I wish you guys would spend less time trying to be comical and spend more time just reporting what’s going on with the league. Besides, if you wanted a good FBI picture, you should have used Johnny Utah.

NFL’s new procedure on blood tests now? I like it.

Our country is going broke and our federal agents are raiding athletic facilities, what is wrong with this picture?

  25. getterdone says: Apr 18, 2011 4:28 PM

Ya gotta love big government intrusion in our lives eh?
This could be a ploy by the wealthy owners to gain that straw that broke the camel’s back type leverage in the CBA talks…lol.

  26. skoobyfl says: Apr 18, 2011 4:30 PM

These guys probably broke down on their way to a Meth lab & just wanted to use the phone.

  27. minnesotablizzard says: Apr 18, 2011 4:34 PM

This country is so backwards. Lets go after Barry Bonds, NFL players, and online poker. What about Goldman Sachs and the rest of Wall Street that stole billions? Why don’t the feds actually raid something worthwhile instead of these entertainment issues.

No story here. It’s tax filing day. IRS agents entered the building to pump up before heading out for “field assignments.”

  34. thevillain112 says: Apr 18, 2011 4:47 PM

You should have used a picture of Derek Mason…

  35. citizenstrange says: Apr 18, 2011 4:47 PM

I honestly don’t get this. The cast of “Jersey Shore” has a camera on them 24/7 yet walk around scot-free.

Is there not the least bit of interest in their possible steroid use? Seriously?

  36. aaron276 says: Apr 18, 2011 4:51 PM

I bet they were just to bust Rex Ryan soliciting prostitutes to let him lick their feet.

  37. nflguru12 says: Apr 18, 2011 4:59 PM

They tore the place up looking for Jay Cutler’s heart and desire, but they did find Albert Haynsworth’s stash of twinkies.

You want us to spend tax payer dollars on finding out if the jersey shore cast is on roids?! Seriously? Actually this point brings me to mine, when do we stop? Seriously, does anyone really care if pro atheletes use performance inhancing drugs? Why does congress have hearings on fricken baseball and let wall street and the banks just slip away?

We have become a stupid consumerist society.

    king,

my response will likely say more about me (and my lack of a life) than you. but I know of DOZENS of sites that would give you what you want (“just reporting what’s going on in the league”)!! Why come here and complain about what you’re not getting….when what you want is readily available elsewhere? Please don’t let the door hit you on the way out!!

  42. jamie54 says: Apr 18, 2011 5:43 PM

Hey minnesotablizzard, you dummy, no such word as inhancing, it’s enhancing. Idiot, if you want to use it in a sentence learn how to spell. In your case apparently the community did not invest enough in your education. If you are watching Jersey Shore, well then, I guess that explains it also. Stupid.

Is it really news when cops raid a place where NFL & NCAA football players hang out?
Sounds like a normal weekend to me.
