1.) Great example. Without Manning, the Colts would be lucky to win 3 games a year. Without Brady, the Patriots won 11.

2.) Honestly, ask your friends, they'll tell you - no one says 'LOL' or 'lmao' anymore.

Sure. Winning Super Bowls is the main factor in the greatness of QB historically. Yet, football is the ultimate team game, and yes, I will concede that from 2000-2006, you guys were loaded. Does Brady deserve all of the praise for doing a servicable job in the regular season and a limiting his mistakes during those postseasons? No. Has he received all of it? Of course.

Listen, I sounded a lot like you guys in regard to one, Brett Favre not long ago. I doubt anything remotely close to the 'come to God' moment we had recently will be thrown at your feet and wake you guys up, but I just want you to know, there are people on the outside of Massachusetts looking in that can cleary see the kid, and his coach, are overrated.

Again, answer the question.

How is it that all these former players and coaches are all wrong about this guy and you have it all figured out?

The only player ever to win the MVP unanimously but he is overrated.

Hate on hater, hate on....

And if you wanna say the pats had a better defense then go ahead because you know what there is no defense for a perfect pass and clearly peyton seems to struggle making that happen in the playoffs if you look at his record. The pats didnt win til Brady arrived and trust me Drew Bledsoe wasnt taking them anywhere.. this really isnt even an argument. Theres a reason why he makes almost 20 million a year..

You keep saying hes overrated but give no reason why..lol. So peyton manning had reggie wayne, marvin harrison, and dallas clark for several years and only won 1 ring as opposed to Brady who won 3 rings with guys like deion branch, david givens, christian fauria, david patten, bethel johnson.. I can keep going trust me.. All that matters in this league is winning.. you can have gaudy numbers all you want.. Peyton has been outdone by Brady when it counts and thats why you draft a QB.. And im pretty sure his postseason numbers arent too bad either lol.. please he didnt even win a ring with a team that had welker or moss on it.. get outta here with this weak argument

The Patriots have a good organization, the best coach, and one of the best QB’s in the NFL. The only problem is that the talent that they are drafting…..is not making a huge impact (besides Devin McCourty). It seems like in recent years BB has been stock piling picks, but not getting as much production out of them.

The Patriots need their first pick to be for their front 7, besides Vince Wilfork, they really have nothing going for them besides Tully Banta-Cain. The Patriots offense last year with Tom Brady was amazing, he won MVP over Vick for a reason, but the fact is their defense is terrible, and struggle against any team with any sort of offense. They need their first two picks to be in the front 7. They need another end, a pass rushing linebacker, and if they got Mark Ingram to top it all off, I will be legitimately afraid of them next year.
____________________________________
Pats defense struggled 07 on because it was too old. Last year it struggled because it was too young. And at least they were opportunistic with turnovers which had been a big problem along with red zone and third down D which still are issues. I have some hope now!
Yes they need a 5 tech and a stud OLB. Tully Banta Cain is meh and I wish they hadn't felt a need to re-sign him.

Exactly - prior to getting busted for cheating.

And...he was busted. Anytime you are penalized a 1st round draft pick, the NFL is saying:

There's no need to argue about it.

His numbers were pedestrian at best prior to landing one of the best WRs in NFL history and a top-notch slot receiver.

Wow. Stop the presses.

My point - the guy is overrated. Since he has been caught cheating and lost most of his brain trust, the results have been anything but exceptional.

I know there are a majority of NE posters on this page, and I welcome that. Just know, the guy is overrated.

Really?? lmfao im guessing your a packers fan.. so the fact that everyone is blowing up aaron rodgers is okay though.. even though he's won one superbowl with an amazing defense as well. I guess that trading a washed up Moss for 3rd round pick when you got him for a 4th rounder 3 years ago is overrated.. you my friend have no clue about football and the business aspect of it. And how was tom brady average before welker and moss.. I'd love for you to argue that.. He won bigger games before they even came in town LOL.. God its like arguing with a 5 year old sometimes on here.. Get real. Belichick not only drafted Brady, but had the guts to play him over Bledsoe who had just signed a mega deal. He saw the talent and look at what its produced.. mmm let me check... 10 consecutive winning seasons, 3 rings, and 8 division titles...

Yea i agree TB and BB are overrated..... hahahahaha

Also I will always defend the Raiders for trading Moss. It HAD to be done, he didn't fit their plans he wasn't going to get on board with the new regime and he was never going to be the player for them that he was for the Pats in 07-08. That was addition by subtraction for them.

Well Gregjennings85 has been here to comment twice...now all we need is foozie and jimmysmith and the triumvirate of childish and factually incorrect whiners is complete!
Newsflash...gregjennings85 doesn't think McCourty, Gronkowski and Hernandez are enough impact players to merit consideration as "more than a few" in the TWO WHOLE drafts since Pioli left! Chung and Spikes look like keepers too and they got their great punter Mesko in the 2010 draft.

I try not to be a homer and I DO admit that losing Pioli was my biggest single concern behind losing RAC and Weis and I think losing RAC and Weis definitely still hurts at times and that Pioli is a very good personnel guy but what they've done since those guys have left isn't bad. Try naming me a single other franchise that has been continuously in the playoff hunt and hasn't even had a losing or even .500 record since 2000 who has lost as many guys off their FO staff and coaching staff every year as the Pats have. This guy is quite possibly the most overrated coach in NFL history. Since Crennel and Weis left in 2004, his teams have not been back to the moutain top, and in recent years, despite a ton of high picks, sans Dimitroff and Pioli, he has netted very few impact players.

Suprisingly enough, since he was outed as a cheater, the playing field has leveled, and Belicheat can’t win another Super Bowl to save his life.

I also like how Tom Brady has been the most average QB ever until Randy Moss and Wes Welker were acquired, and then, lo and behold, he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.

BB = Overrated.

TB = Overrated.

NE’s defense from 2000-2004 = Underrated.
-------
Get over it already!! Every time there is post about the Patriots or Tom Brady you're on here with the same crap!!

"Overrated" please tell us how all these former players and coaches ( you know the people who have played the game) are all wrong about this guy and you have it all figured out.

And didn't the Patriots go to the SB in 07 without Weis or Crennel?

Haters will always hate.....

Check out Bill Walsh's record before Montana, guess he was "overrated" too.

Brady put up solid numbers before Welker and Moss, then he gets to real weapons and shows what he can do but morons like you make excuses as to why he is good instead of just giving credit.

2005 - Playoffs(Divisional rd)
2006 - AFC Championship
2007 - Super Bowl
2008 - Brady injured still 11-5 and miss playoffs on a tiebreaker
2009 - Playoffs

Combined record in those seasons,(also after cheating(ridiculous to call it that))

nbcwantsitsmoneyback stupidly said:
From the the last five years all he has to show for all of those picks is Jerrod Mayo, Stephen Gostkowski, Brandon Meriweather and maybe the 2 tight ends from last year..That’s it…!

What about a pro bowl rookie cornerback, McCourty?

What about one of the best young tackles in the league, Seabatial Vollmer?

The rookie OLB Cunningham was also becoming a force by the end of the year. Before his screwup in not reporting his prescription meds, Spikes was becomeing a very good player.

Mesko is already a top 5 punter

Special teams has been revitalized by the speed of recent draftees.

The last two drafts in particular have been home runs

So how would you describe this "fool". Say you have a choice. You can have a Pro Bowl player (Seymour), or a poker chip worth a draft choice (unknown commodity). The player you traded away is selected to another Pro Bowl and your poker chip is still... a poker chip. I think I'd take the guaranteed Pro Bowl player.

New England should continue to stockpile future draft picks, as they’ll surely need them when they start to look for that special someone to eventually replace Tom Brady, who will turn 34 in August. With the first pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select Andrew Luck, Stanford. Oops. Was I just dreaming

That sounds more like my dream…i’d love for you guys to earn the #1 overall draft pick!! It’d be a glorious year for everyone outside of New England…
