If the Texans are finally going to break through in the AFC South, they could do in style next year with a Week 16 primetime game against the Colts.
NFL Network’s eight-game Thursday Night Football slate wraps up on December 22, with the Texans heading to Indianapolis in what figures to be a key divisional matchup.
The sixth season of NFL Network games expects to kick off in Week on November 10, with the Raiders heading to San Diego. (We don’t even want to consider a world where the lockout is still in place then.) No team owned the Chargers quite like Oakland last year.
The Jets and Broncos face off in Week 11, Denver’s only primetime game of the year other than the late game to wrap up Week One. MDS already told you about the battle of the Harbaughs, which will be the nightcap on Thanksgiving.
Michael Vick, who had a nice performance on the league’s network last year, faces the 12th man and the Seahawks in Week 13. The Browns and Steelers play their seemingly annual Thursday Night game on December 8.
Week 15 includes two NFL Network games. The Jaguars head to Atlanta on Thursday, and the Cowboys go to Tampa Bay on Saturday night. It’s the only Saturday night game of the year.
Now if only the league can get their network distributed everywhere, these games would truly be national.
