Brandon Marshall came up with a more flattering nickname for Ryan Mallett than “Caucasian Street Guy.”

In a series of Tweets Tuesday that seemingly pushed for the Dolphins to draft Ryan Mallett, Marshall called Mallett “the hip Matty Ice” in response to a tweet from Roddy White. Nice.

That line came in jest, but Marshall’s appreciation for Mallett was serious.

“Listen to me. Ryan Mallett will be an All-Pro Qb,” Marshall wrote.

Marshall, who quickly has become one of the more entertaining players to follow on Twitter, was in a predictive mood last night.

“Blog it . . . Hate it . . . Criticize it . . . Dolphins and 49ers in Super Bowl XLVI,” Marshall said.

We like the optimism. But there’s a much better chance of Mallett joining Marshall as a teammate than Miami and San Francisco reaching the Super Bowl.
