The Jaguars are one of the teams struggling to sell season tickets this year. The release of the NFL schedule usually provides a boost with sales, but not in this strange year.

Senior VP of Sales Mackey Weaver told Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union on Tuesday that the Jaguars didn’t see a significant bump in ticket sales after the schedule was released, like they usually do.

We suspect that trend was felt leaguewide. Fans are simply less likely to spend money until they know we will have football.

The NFL certainly isn’t enjoying the events of the week thus far, but perhaps Judge Susan Nelson’s ruling can start to push us in the direction where fans can have confidence again we won’t miss any football this year.
