Getty ImagesChad Ochocinco doesn’t expect to be back with the Cincinnati Bengals this year. And he says a lack of support from coach Marvin Lewis is the reason.
In a series of messages on Twitter, Ochocinco said that he felt that he was always loyal to Lewis, and was bothered by Lewis’s recent criticism.
“I love Cincy, but coach Lewis is mean to me now so I think I am gone,” Ochocinco tweeted. “He has gone over board to publicly chastize the one guy who loves him i’m so hurt. . . . y’all ever lost somebody you felt was close to u but they flip on you without giving u the script.Marvin Lewis hurt my feelings.”
Ochocinco also stood up for quarterback Carson Palmer who has indicated that he’ll retire before he’ll play for the Bengals again.
“Carson Palmer is an elite QB and always will be!!” Ochocinco wrote. “He’s not a quitter he’s fustrated as i was.”
The Bengals have insisted that they won’t let Palmer go, and that they want him back this year. They’ve made no such public proclamations about wanting Ochocinco to stick around.

who are you kidding, chump johnson. you were fired!
Drama queen.
Oh god. I thought this was football, not Days of Our Lives.
Being among one of the biggest Bengals fan out there, I hate to say it, but it’s time that we part ways with Chad. Palmer took to much blame for someone that develops his own routes during plays, but criticizes his quarterback for not “being in sync” with him. He did his thing for a few years, but hate to say it, PEACE OUT CHAD!!!!!
Child please….STFU.
“he’s mean to me….and hurt my feelings”……..hmmm do you really want someone like that on your football team? I think not!
Awww. Poor baby…does baby need a bottle?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Head Coach call out players in the media more than Marvin Lewis.
Regardless of what you think of Chad, it’s pathetic for Marvin to criticize players publicly the way has. Chad may be asking for it, but was Willie Anderson when he got cut by the Bengals?
They will both be taking their talents to South Beach. Ocho to Miami with the Fins, and Carson to Del Boca Vista with the Seinfelds
I have a feeling the Bengals had better get used to coming in 4th in the AFC North…
For all his antics and baggage, Chad Ochocinco has never been arrested or tarnished the NFL Shield. I think it is interesting that Goodell chose to call him during the lockout. There must be some level of respect there.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see him or Steve Smith in a Patriots uniform this season.
What a female dog
He may be a nice guy but this is the mentality of a 12 year old girl
cincy is a runaway train wreck.
Go take a ride in the back of Chris Henry’s wife’s truck.
To think what would be the state of this franchise had Oelhoffen not rolled into Palmer’s knee. Shame shame shame…
Does anyone even like Sean Noone?
sounds like he wants to play for rex ryan. he wont criticize him until hes no longer on the team. (example: vernon gholston)
Chad got his feelings hurt so he is going to take his ball and go home….WAAAHHHH!
haha probably not hahaha
Tweet much Chad? Seriously, I mean enough is enough with all of the tweets. Give it a rest.
He trained today with Stafford and Megatron, and as a Lions fan, I WISH WE HAD HIM!
Chad — Don’t let the screen door hit you on your way out…
crying on the internet that someone is being mean to you, playing soccer, is chad trying to get on the cover of the advocate? if not that, maybe blueboy or uncut?
In related news… Marvin Lewis’s feelings are hurt due to Chad Ochocinco’s lackluster play on the field.
There’s a train leaving at five, Ocho. Be under it.
I rather marvins time be up. Marvin being re-hired is the reason palmer is leaving cincy. Its time for marvin lewis to go.
For a reasonable price.., I wouldn’t mind seeing Ochocinco in Purple & Black
I don’t see either of them fitting in w/ the Patriots, though Belichick is very friendly with Ocho.
They need size @ WR in New England and neither guy fits that mold.
Then there’s the question of what (if anything) the Pats would be willing to give up in order to get them.
I’ll take Chad in New England.
Save us a draft pick on a speedster until next year, at the least.
Ochocinco: Number eighteen in 2011, Marvin Lewis squeezed and pulled and hurt my neck in 1988./Rain Man-ed
lol.. people take this guy way to seriously. And I like how PFT left out the smiley faces that Chad included in several of these tweets to help put them into context for anyone with half a brain.
Spoiler: He is joking.
Mommy! Coach Lewis was mean to me! I don’t wanna play no mo! Maybe he shoulda played some football last year instead of playing grab-ass with TO all season.
Chad Johnson and Steve Smith are two WR’s that are not worth the problems they bring in.
Amazing how these guys don’t ‘get it.’
Shut up and do your job
These past few years people are losing their homes, their jobs and their lives are falling apart. We don’t need to hear your millionaire complaints about someone hurting your feelings.
Grow up!

How crappy must your life be to wish death on someone who doesn’t even know you exist? Especially over a comment that had absolutely nothing to do with you.
I like Chad, but got to admit he sounds like a chick with a dick here…..
Ahaha, this is right up Bill Belichick’s alley! He’ll put his arm around him, whisper sweet nothings in his ear, suck the last bit of usefullness out of him, and then ………………………………

You are a pathetic excuse for a human being. Comments like that provided a glimps of what type of parents you were raised by. Hopefully breeding can eliminate the flaw in your species.
Who really really cares. When does he quit crying, many people make a living under not the best conditions either from working with other employees or bosses or owners that you may not agree with. HE hurt my feelings–COME ON MAN !!!!
No one wants him.
He should head to the Patriots.. With his feelings and Brady’s long hair.. Together the Patriots will have the first girl playing in the NFL..

You know better than to expect rational, level-headed commenters here.
Dude, you SUCK, you’ve ALWAYS SUCKED, what don’t you get about that?? You can’t play, try the arena league.
I try not to cry when my boss hurts my feelings.
It’s a job Ocho. You haven’t figured that out yet?
Maybe if the Bengals front office wasn’t so stubborn they wouldn’t suck anymore.
@Pixelito
Very rarely do I literally LOL. But I did after reading your comment. Death is a part of life, and life is funny. Laugh on my friend
Anyone want to have a few drinks and discuss
Dear Chad,
Please come down south and talk some sense into Smith. I’m sure if you move in he’ll stay.
Love,
Ron Rivera
Does da poor whittle prima donna bay bay want some cheese with that whine?
I want to have Ochocinco’s babies <3

boom! 3rd round pick
Regardless if you like Chad or not, there is something wrong in Cincy and any fool should be able to see it. Something odd with Marvin Lewis, and I’m sure there are other players who want out of there too…they aren’t talking about it.
Chad Johnson and Steve Smith sittin in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N Da Baby
He obviously stopped taking his Meds again!

If you’re gonna hate, then hate. But at least be smart about it. Chad has always sucked? All them pro bowls, all those thousand yard seasons, and all those AFC receiving titles disagree with you.
Hey guys his feelings were hurt here cut him a break, you dont know what kind of close personal relationship he had with the coach. Everyone has feelings and just because he is a big tough football player doesnt mean that he isnt allowed to get them hurt, and then talk it out so he can feel better about it.

Palmer is moving into Del Boca Vista PHASE II, Phase I is all sold out, there’s nothing there!
“Coach Lewis is mean to me”?
Geez, my 5 year old son says the same thing about his 12 year old brother. How old does that make you, Chad?

True Dat. no cases in criminal court.
Also true, civil court over non payment car note, for going on stage at local comedy club and promising a car and trips never delivered. civil case for non payment of rent,,,,,and these are just the ones I can remember off top of the head.
Yeah he’s just a fine up standing man, who admits he never sees his 5 kids.
Chad hurt his Va-J-J
Is that tweet on the level? It reads like it was written by a 13-year-old girl. Awkward.
Palmer is not an elite quarterback. Never was.
The Bungles
A couple of years ago, Chad tried so hard to get out of Cincinnati his luggage was already on the bus.
Now he’s getting kicked out against his will.
There’s kind of a Favre-ian self absorption happening here. Even so, I’ve always been a fan of Chad and the the Bengals owe him a HUGE fruit basket for keeping the team relevant thru a long, long losing streak.
But hopefully he doesn’t do the “wounded boy scout” role for too long. It doesn’t fit.
