Peyton Hillis chosen for Madden cover

Reuters

Peyton Hillis has been chosen for the cover of the Madden ’12 video game, beating out Michael Vick in the final round of fan voting.

“It means a lot to me and my family,” Hillis said. “I just want to say thank you.”

A year ago, Hillis on the Madden cover would have sounded like a joke: Hillis was shipped from Denver to Cleveland last offseason as part of the Brady Quinn trade, and it wasn’t even a sure thing that Hillis would make the Browns’ roster.

Hillis didn’t just make the roster, he became the Browns’ go-to player, carrying 270 times for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns and catching another 61 passes for 477 yards and two more touchdowns.

And now Hillis is the public face of one of the most prominent consumer products associated with the NFL. In a year, he’s gone from little-known role player to bona fide star.

    still sounds like a joke.

  2. Another great move by Josh McDaniels, who didn’t use Quinn, shipped a 3rd to the Pats for Maroney, among other things.

  3. So I guy who has had one decent season for one of the worst teams in the league gets chosen for the cover of Madden? Something seems wrong with that. Not saying Vick should have gotten the cover, but Hillis…..maybe it is just the demographic who watches the show in which the results were announced.

  4. I guarantee you that one of the two scenarios took place:

    1. All of the Vick haters finally collaborated to ensure that he was not voted to the cover

    2. EA Sports rigged the last round so Vick wouldn’t win, in order to dodge the inevitable uproar and potential boycotting of the game

    3. Too many people just wanted to see an underdog win (there’s a Vick-dog joke in there somewhere)

…either way, it’s a shame that Hillis’s career will be stunted so quickly by the Madden curse!

  5. That’s great news.. now I can still buy EA games.

I still think this whole “vote” was rigged and EA was using it to “get away” with putting Vick on the cover. Apparently they came to their senses and realized that would be an unbelievably stupid decision.

  6. You know how polls always give a 3% to 5% margin of error?

Well, every poll on this I saw had Vick winning by 30% plus.

I’ll bet comments on this story will bear that out as well. Fixed! Although, I really don’t care who won it.

  7. Not hating or anything….because he had a big year and all….

But with or without the Madden Curse, does anyone really expect this guy to average more than 3.0-3.3 YPC in the (hopefully) forth coming season?

He just strikes me as a one-and-done.

  8. 9 out of every 10 NFL fans wouldn’t be able to recognize Peyton Hillis if they were standing in a grocery line with him.

  9. Cheers to the good fans who voted for Hillis. Ha ha to the punk kids and juvenile delinquent adults who voted for an ex-con dog assassin. I did here the Vick edition would kick dogs instead of footballs for fg’s.

  10. I’ll tell you guys why Hillis won….He’s a frickin beast. He trucks people, and most of all, he’s fun to watch.

  11. Well, it’s obvious a lot of people voted against their favorite players to avoid the “curse.”

  12. hey wont Madden 2012 be challenged for antitrust violation since it will be using the names of players?

i think the owners should embrace the last CBA and get it signed and move forward…….all this crap in the courts just messes up what was the Greatest Show on Turf, now it will be a mess, lets hope Roger and Smith meet in a secret location soon and shake hands and come out and say all is good again……People will go other places….ask Baseball.

  13. As a Broncos fan that bleeds orange and blue, CONGRATS PEYTON. When we drafted him, I was so excited. He was a beast in college, and when he finally got the nod to start for us in 08, I was thrilled. I got to see him run into the end zone on a play in Denver, and I was sitting in the corner of the endzone, and he did the Mile High Salute. Classic.

O, and THANKS A WHOLE BUNCH McDoofus.

  14. White men still can’t jump, but this dude sure can RUN. Thanks for saving my fantasy season last year man…hope the curse doesn’t get you.

  15. A Brown on the Madden cover? Hillis will tear his ACL and the Madden curse will continue!

I’m pretty sure playing for the Browns is a curse that outweighs the Madden curse.

  16. I support this considering that Vick was already on the cover. I like seeing something new….preferably the mechanics of the game, but this works. Lol

  17. I love the people who complain about Hillis getting on the cover over a superstar. Do you think down the road people will remember the Madden cover or the actual super bowl MVP. It was a fun way to get the consumers involved with your product. Good idea, good for Hillis.

  18. Great to see a guy with class, morals, and an appreciation for the game get recognized. He has everything the other scumbag lacks. Congrats Peyton!

  19. Congratulations to Hillis!!!! That’s a wonderful, unexpected outcome!!! So much for whoever said the Browns have no playmakers!!!

From a rational perspective, I don’t believe in curses … although Polamalu had no end of trouble the year he made the cover. But I hope the curse passes Hillis by and wish him the best of luck … well, except those two games they play us 😉

@medtxpack … Was thinking, “Why that pic? Love my Steelers but you can hardly see Hillis.” Then read your post. ROFL … ouch! 🙂

  20. Congratulations to Peyton Hillis. Here in Denver he was always ready to do whatever it took to make things happen. When the other role models were guys like Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler who were getting injured “playing pick-up football” or “punching television sets”, Hillis stayed out of the headlines and could be counted on to pick up the slack and get the crowd rocking.

That being said, I hope the Madden jinx is over. Hillis was constantly getting nicked during his time in Denver, and during that period it was easy to see why he had been labelled “brittle”. Its good to see the man get his well-deserved time in the spotliht.

  21. Do you think that Hillis’ biceps are so big that he’ll even fumble his complimentary copy of Madden ’12?

  22. first white runningback to do ANYTHING of note deserves some love. i would be happy with like 800-900 yards and around 6 touchdowns.

hillis not only did that, but went way past it, AND got great receiving numbers for a runningback on the side.

if the browns did any better than 8-8 last year, he wouldve gotten a look for mvp

  23. We cannot ignore the racial angle here. How often are white RB’s any good? Not very. This is kind of like a reverse rooney rule/affirmitive action.

  24. this thing was fixed from the start, but I’m really glad vick didn’t win. Now EA will get my $60

  25. Gotta be the first time that a guy from a 5-11 team made the cover. Never the less, I love it! I call him the Avalanche cause he’s white and he runs downhill

  26. Dude is a beast and he is humble. Has a playing style people like. Love seeing all the venom from the haters too. Hahahaha. Go Browns.

  27. Madden Curse is getting watered down. Brees was on the cover last year and his stats weren’t bad, though he did tweek a knee and his Ints were higher.

    90.9 QB rating
    4620 passing yards
    33 TDs/22 Ints
    68.1% completion percentage

  28. 1100 yards (good for #11 in the league)

    11 TDs

    8 fumbles

Averaged roughly 50 YPG and zero TDs through his final 5 games.

Oh well. He’s no stat monster… but he’s a white RB so I guess that’s cool?

  29. Who really cares?

    And if you do……..why?

If Vick is smart (which he obviously isn’t) he will keep his mouth shut and not come with the poor poor pitiful me routine.

  30. I’m all for the white running back making the Madden cover but by all means Aaron Rodgers should’ve been the winner. I guess there was no way that Steelers fans were going to let that happen though.

  31. Being on the cover of Madden will have nothing to do with Hillis having a down year next year. He was going to have it anyway. Hardesty is going to be a big part of that offense. Hillis’ numbers will surely take a hit.

  32. The sad thing is that it revealed all the stupid racist idiots out there and how little we’ve progressed as a civilization.. Rodgers should have won though based on last years Superbowl win and MVP… A Vick win would have also been a great story to show how we’ve progressed as humans but the idiots will have there days and expose themselves for the sad people they are.

  33. Things must be pretty bad in cleveland if the cover of a video game is causing this much excitement!

  34. Philly fans shocked? No probably more relieved just in case the Madden curse rises again or maybe no one really cares. Just over a million people apparently voted. That’s not that impressive IMO for something that has been known about for a couple weeks especially if people could vote multiple times.

Congrats to Hillis I just don’t understand why he would get it over someone like an Aaron Rodgers.

Not buying Madden this year anyway though. Too much annoying BS that they’re not going to fix and the NFL is going to get a cent of my money this year. The owners and players can go f each other for all I care.

  35. Anyone who watched the unveiling of the cover on Espn’s “Sportsnation” would realize that he is the perfect guy for the cover/honor of Madden. Humble,well-spoken and he looked truly grateful.

  36. This is the best middle finger to EA the fans could have delivered for releasing the same crappy game for years while buying out the competition. There will never be another popular vote again.

  37. In the end when nobody else could do it, it’s the Dawg Pound that defeats Michael Vick. Who would’ve thought. How fitting.

  38. Who’se going to be the next non-descript player from a blue-collar town with a football team with a lackluster recent history, but rabid fan-base? Cue the cover in Madden 2013 for Ryan Fitzgerald…

  39. Jaggedmark wrote “Well, every poll on this I saw had Vick winning by 30% plus.”

Obviously the “polls” you viewed were wrong since ESPN and EA kept the totals a secret until todays Sportsnation broadcast.

Judging by the overwhelming number of pro-Hillis comments on this website, I’d say the vote tally is legit.

Props to EA for not going with the big name and actually letting the fans choose the cover.

    Congratulations to the Albino Rhino!

  40. I cannot express how absolutely moronic most of these comments are.

Youtube comments think PFT comments are idiotic.

People already screaming fix and racism? It’s a video game cover decided by an online poll. Are you shocked the results are a bit wacky?

Congratulations to Peyton Hillis. Shows hard work pays off and being a respectful young man pays off.

  41. Good! NO CURSE. Colt needs a RB as bad as a receiver. At least Madden won’t have to worry about litigation from PETA.

  42. Hills was fantastic last season. I’m happy for him. With that said… EA is unhappy. I don’t care what they say, no way do they want a player from a losing team on the cover of a video game.

  43. LOL how many people thought it would be A. Rodgers???? I did; this reminds me of those online generators where you can upload any picture and have it be on the cover of Madden. Hillis is a stud although I have a feeling a lot of D3 running backs and corners will be purchasing this

  44. i just voted for hillis over vick cause vicks already been on it…i thought it was kinda dumb of them to have contestants who were already on the cover before. it should always be a new face

  45. Just goes to show the Browns fans will vote for a video game, but not for public elections. Nice priorities there, Cleveland!

  46. Maybe since hillis will be on the cover, they’ll fix Madden so you don’t have to only look at speed ratings to figure out how good a player is. . .

  47. Awesome, the emergence of Hillis was a better story for 2010 then Vick. Not to take away from what Vick did last season, but he was a star in the league before, so his regaining that status isn’t as impressive as Hillis, who had to be packaged with picks before the Browns would give up a 3rd string QB.

  48. There’s a still a lot more faithful Favre out there than people think. Arod had to wait to be draft, wait to play and now one one more year till he make it to madden.

  49. As an eagles fan and a human being I’m glad Vick wasn’t given the cover. He shouldn’t have the privilege of playing in the NFL let alone gracing a video game cover. That said and as a small business owner this is stupid and a poor choice. No way this sells more product with the 11th ranked rb on the cover. Sorry, it was rigged online and a stupid idea to begin with.

  50. Vick wasn’t put on the cover because he would’ve indeed been INJURED by the Madden curse. Had Vick been on the cover all the racial fingerpointers would’ve blaimed EA Sports ( who’s CEO is white ) for purposely wanting Vick, an African American Felon, to get injured. Think about it…..

  51. you should have posted a before and after pic of hillis. his neck doubled in size. another win for steroids. atta boy madden!!!

  52. 1980 – USA defeats USSR

2007 – Appalachian State defeats the University of Michigan

    2011 – Hillis beats Vick

One of the biggest upsets of all time

  53. Congrats to Hillis. Many Denver fans still wish he was a Bronco. Trading him for Brady Quinn was McDaniels’s worst move by far.

  54. I’m glad Vick didn’t win but when did a 73 yard/game average become the standard for making the Madden cover?

  55. Anyone who won’t buy a video game because of who is on the BOX of it is stupid. Do you also buy a 55″ TV because of the box it comes in?

  56. Finally, something that Cleveland can brag about!!!!

They finally won something, anything of major importance.

Oh wait…. sorry…. forget the line about major importance…

It’s still the freaking Cleveland Browns.

  57. I think it is awesome that he came outta nowhere and shot to the top of the list as one of the best halfbacks in the game last year. I just hope that it wasn’t just luck on his side.

  58. I’m glad Vick didn’t get the cover, he doesn’t need that BS curse over his head… I know all the Vick haters will condemn me, but guess what??? F those dogs, he served his time and paid his debts… Go Vick!!!

  59. We Eagles fans will just have to settle for playoff football instead of a video game cover. Oh well…

  60. @ilovefoolsball …

So you think Steelers fans somehow blocked Aaron Rodgers from the Madden cover … and voted through a Browns player instead? Yeah, sure sounds like something Steelers fans would do. 😆

Hon, I didn’t even vote … just think it’s nice Hillis got some deserved recognition. You guys are the reigning champs. Be happy.

    @barklikeadog …

    Thank you!!!! 🙂

  61. Let’s face it: both Michael Vick and Peyton Hillis are extremely talented – they are both in the top 5 in their position.

The difference is this: Peyton Hillis didn’t systematically execute defenseless dogs by drowning or electrocuting them.

  62. As a Browns fan, I think Rodgers deserved the cover but, if you ever wanted to see what a real football player should look like, Hillis is definitely a football player. I was also hoping someone else would win just to avoid the cover jinx.

  63. I just left the Blackbear in Stamford and this guy was going on and on how “alls I know is Vick won the ESPN poll and Disney wouldn’t allow it, so they gave it to Hillis, and I would know”. He later claimed that his roommate works as ESPN. Who knows but i find it hard to believe that ESPN could keep such an action secret. This guy wouldn’t let it go though. Ether way, his roommate needs to find somewhere else to live.

…is being on the cover of madden REALLY an honor anymore?
    ————————————————-

it would still be an honor if the guy *you* wanted to see win actually won, eh?

  65. This is the reason why the fans shouldn’t get a chance to vote. Peyton Hillis? Wow! This dude best season is Adrian Peterson’s worst season.

Aaron Rodgers should have been on the cover. If anyone he had a way better year than Hillis.

  66. the cover should have ravens’ landry at hillis’ feet … looking broken. in case anyone didn’t see this just search for “hillis runs over landry” or hillis destroys ravens. good stuff.

  67. Gotta be honest the more comments I read for some of you pathetic people the more and more I am wishing I wasnt part of this society. Quit the whole “I hope Vick gets hurt”. NEWSFLASH = It makes you an even worse person with very low charactor and morals then Vick himself.

Also good for Hillis, I have no issues with him. But I do think Vick deserved the cover more out of the two. Nobody knows who Hillis is, he isnt even the best HB in his own division for god sakes. This was fixed cause EA didnt want to get the drama of putting Vick on the cover when in all reality… Peope shouldnt give a damn. oooo Vick on the cover of a football game, he does play football right? He is really good at it right? So yea him being on the cover wouldnt be soo bad. Move on with your lives people. Obviously your not content with your own life if you need to bash people. What if Vick was your son, would you publicly bash him? Probably not. Well then that lets you know its the wrong thing to do. If we all search our hearts we know we are being wrong by bashing Vick. Im not saying you have to like him, but enough with the wise crack jokes that are not funny, they are actually quite pathetic and show very low charactor…

  68. And in my eyes… Vick is the cover guy of madden. I will do a reprint and slide it into the game case. Nobody can change my mind. As far as I am concerned, Vick won the contest. Good job Vick, you earned it!!!

Madden or no madden, Vick is by far the more popular player then Hillis, just being honest…

  69. “A non-white quarterback on the cover of Madden, armageddon is upon us.”

Maybe your right, maybe Armageddon is upon us. But if it is then it wears #40 and has one badass facemask!!

  70. Peyton Hillis is a beast and deserved this. To all the haters out there saying it was rigged, get real. It’s alright your player and team didn’t win, you’ll get a chance next year.
Ray Rice, check. Matt Ryan, check. Jamal Charles, check. Aaron Rodgers, check. Mike Vick, check. This guy had the hardest road to win it all this year and still pulled it out. Keep hatin guys, it just adds more fuel to the fire.
    1,177 yards, 11 TD’s, 4.4 ypc.
    61 receptions, 477 yards, 2 TD’s.
Yes, those are terrible stats, right.
All while starting 13 games and missing a few quarters because of injuries. This guy carried the Browns, if they would have had a true no.1 receiver and a coach and OC who knew that the hell they were doing the Browns would had been contenders. Keep addin fuel to his fire Haters.

  71. In related news, Hillis also had 12 passing yards on the year…..A dozen more than Brady Quinn

  72. “o0omorriso0o” I gotta say your a deuschbag.
“ohh Vick won in my mind, i’ll make my own little cover and slide it in my case, congrats vick”

Yeh congrats Vick for losing, fair and square.
I guess it was rigged against every other player Hillis beat to, right. It’s a great thing Vick is more popular in your mind and not the rest of the world buddy, cause than he would’ve won, hahahahaha.
You talk about not bashign people on here when yoru bashing Hillis, hypocrite.
It just goes to show Cleveland has one of the biggest fan bases in the world.
Oh yeh “o0omorriso0o” good job at being such a pathetic deuschbag, you earned it guy.

  73. Congrats Peyton, anyone who has met you knows you are very deserving of this! Love seeing all the haters posts, I guess being a humble, hard working, law abiding, god fearing, human rubs a few people the wrong way nowadays. This is a testament to the best/most passionate fans in the NFL – the “Browns Nation”. Keep bulldozing the competition “HULK HILLIS” you are the man! Now Go Browns! Draft A.J. Green or Julio Jones Tommorrow!

  74. i wasnt gonna buy madden neways for the simple fact..why give nfl more money when their not even gonna give us product…free agents wont b in the right spots, trades, draft signees ect ect…

but peyton hillis deserves this, behind one of the worst teams he produced all of that. now vick was an nfl sensation this year (and im a giants fan..trust me i know that game in the new meadowlands still hurts to this day) but i wouldnt like to c anyone on the cover twice

  75. You Tea Partiers are on a roll this week….

(1)The man who became the first President of both the Harvard Law Reveiew and, oh yeah The United States of America while being Black is forced to defend his academic achievements and just like every suspected undocumented worker is forced publicly to show ‘His Citizenship Papers’
……and Michael Vick loses the Madden cover to Bam-Bam…….

  76. @kingjoe01

Your memory must be short because Daunte Culpepper, Mike Vick, Donovan McNabb, and Vince Young have all been on the cover of Madden.

Actually not only have there been 4 non-white quarterbacks on the cover but that number is more than the number of white quarterbacks who have been on the cover(which is 2 Favre and Brees). And if we really wanted to split hairs when it comes to the race of the player(which I think is utterly stupid to do but just for the sake of argument) Peyton Hillis is only the third white guy to be on the cover.

With that said what does it matter? Dude had a great season and he is getting rewarded mostly by the fantasy football people who had their seasons saved by him.

  77. As a Packer Fan, congrats to Peyton Hillis.

I was kinda hoping for Micahel Vick, cause I thought it would be funny if they’d have a “Gross out” picture where the cd should be, like when the video-gamer opens the game, they’d see a bunch of pictures of vick’s dog victims.

  78. I’m no Broncos fan, but McDaniels should have gotten the Matt Millen “Too Dumb for the NFL” award for what he did to the Broncos. Lets only hope his next destruction will be the Rams.

  80. @jaycrosso5 – and if and if and if and if the browns were owned by a real owner maybe they would be credible.

but then if my uncle had boobs he’d be my aunt…

  81. Seriously Cleveland… AS a Pirates fan, I now know what its like for you when football season starts… somewhat… atleast the Pirates have some rings,… tied for 6th with the most. Come to think of it…brown town has never been in a super bowl… oh wait… THIS COULD BE YOUR YEAR! …. nah,.. always next year.
    Pittsburgh OWNS Cleveland…
    Pirates, 5 rings…. Idiots aka Indians 2,…
Pirates last ring coming in 79, idiots in 48
Steelers, 6 rings, Browns… eh, well, yeah… nothing since the super bowl era.
I give you the NBA, Cava-queers, but once again… nada, ( can you blame Le-fraud for wanting to leave that city?) Serioulsy…
Hockey,… well Pens, vs Cleveland Barons, enough said hahaha
NFL Madden Cover… Troy, Steelers…Hillis Brown stains Tie 1,1
Steel City gets the nod, Mistake on a lake once again falls short….

The pathetic ones are the fools that continuously stick up for this defective sociopath, then want to put blame & rant about hate with people that understand animal torture for fun & the mental sickness associated with it.

The people with lowest morals in today’s society are people that would blindly defend someone that not only for 6 years, multi times a week tortured hurt & bleeding, screaming animals for kicks but that would also after being treated under an assumed name have so little regard for innocent women of his own race to infect them with a disease they will carry for life. Vick has proven over & over he has no morals or character & it shows more & more the people that post in support of him are worse than he is.

OF course it’s racism! If you don’t like Vick or you voted for Hillis, for whatever reason, it’s racism. The voices of Mike Vick get more ridiculous with each bigoted thing they say.

“The pathetic ones are the fools that continuously stick up for this defective sociopath,… ”

Now Now “oh stupid one,” please show us the doctor that sat down talked to Vick and further diagnosed Vick as being a Sociopath, I’ll wait…

Oh that’s right, he/she doesn’t exist, just a figment of your imagination. Just like pleading we should feel like you do over something REALLY TRIVIAL. Yes killing dogs is freaking trivial, who gives a rats ass other than Fat overweight home bodies like yourself? “Vick is a bad bad person. Blah blah blah” we got it, move on to the next topic please, or simply STFU. It’s 2011 fat boy/girl put away the little Debbie snack cakes, open your downstairs basement window, and breathe the fresh air. No one gives two s**ts what Mick Vick did, besides you and your cult.

  87. @secgreatness – It’s obvious from the way you write, the 3rd grade was long & hard for ya you sick, twisted wench.

    Sociopathic behavior: (source FBI)
Sociopaths have no way to connect to any other living creature, and they don’t have feelings, so their only interest is competition. Sound familiar? Sociopaths have no understanding of what we would call “right” and “wrong,” hence they are amoral. And since they’re amoral, they feel free to do things that most of us would consider wrong: Like torturing animals, for example, just to “see what would happen.” Most career criminals are sociopaths. They cannot learn to become “law-abiding” because those concepts mean nothing to them. And without the ability to empathize, they don’t have any gut-level understanding of the consequences of their actions. The suffering of other creatures just doesn’t register as unpleasant for sociopaths, which is one of the key ways they are different from us.

No doctor has to sit down with Vick to know he’s a sociopath. It’s is clinical fact based upon all of his actions available in any library or site that has into on that type of mental disorder, as you read above. If you understand that type of behavior, you then understand that sociopaths …are not “cured” after 18 months in jail.

Mike Vick didn’t rob a convenience store, or car jack someone, or with one night or poor judgment kill someone in an accident. When someone makes a one time or even a two time mistake of course they deserve a second chance. When is was a night or a month or 2 of bad judgment & they aren’t actually evil or even did what they did with malice intent.

When someone takes any creature, and for their own personal dark yearning for blood & screams enjoys torturing it. They get off on the blood of destruction on a creature, not for any reason but they get off on the pain & suffering, that is pure unadulterated evil Alex. Add to it, it was done repeatedly over & over & over for 6 YEARS. That’s not a mistake, it’s something inherent, a missing chromosome, a crossed wire. It’s mentally & immorally sick. Mike Vick took sick, bleeding, crying & already in pain animals & for his own entertainment continued to torture them, inflict more pain, got off on the cries & screams. And he did this repeatedly. Add in that he cares so less for women that he knowingly infected women of his own race with incurable disease.

The above is fact & the part about it being inherent & immorally sick isn’t a judgment, it’s clinical fact. But by all the research there’s no doubt 18 months in jail & someone is not rehabbed from those dark desires. I am not just talking about Mike Vick, this could & is anyone that could do the things he did for FUN.

Instead of trying to insult people with really dumbass stuff, you should educate yourself & become less ignorant on what a sociopath is & what Mike Vick really did.

  88. @lovedabirds

No doctor has to sit down with Vick to know he’s a sociopath.
    ————

Yes they do, otherwise we have stupid individuals, like yourself, making ignorant assumptions, like yourself, to feed their pathetic cultish behavior. Normal people listen to experts instead of fat homebodies assumptions based on miss interpreted data. BTW who’s goal in life is to seek fulfillment by leaching off other people. Bottom line YOU are the worst kind of person, one I wouldn’t piss on if on fire. Keep your insane, conspiracy theorist, unfounded, opinionated comments to yourself please. Let the real people of this society do the thinking, you just sit there fat, lonely, pathetic and paint “I Hate Mike Vick” posters while the rest of the world moves on. I’ll wait for doctors to give me a diagnosis rather than some random idiot named “lovedabirds”.

  89. Oh and BTW, I know what Vick did he killed dogs. Any way you slice it he killed dogs, and sane people either don’t care or cared at one point and decided that there’s more important issues in life. Like I said before, get out your parents basement and you’ll see the bigger picture.

  90. @secgreatness

Nothing is more humorous than Vick defenders that have no effing idea what they are talking about & continue to spew nonsense. All you’ve given us is insults, non-logical rhetoric & ignorant rants. I know it’s hard for you, but try & open your mind to other things besides blindly defending someone as evil as Vick.

Vick defenders love to tell others how they should feel & what they are or how we should “forgive” mentally sick people like Vick. Instead of getting educated, they prefer to act ignorant & refuse to understand the evil inside of any person that would TORTURE defenseless creatures for FUN.

    Bottom line bro:
No matter how many TD passes the throws or games he blows with interceptions, Mike Vick will always be a average QB that will be remembered for being a disgusting sociopath that senselessly torturing & killing sick & bleeding animals in some of the most horrific ways imaginable to satisfy some sort of dark sick yearning he has. He will always be remembered for knowingly spreading herpes to unsuspecting women of his own race & for being a pathological liar. That will be his legacy, eat it up Vick fans, it’s a fact.

I will wait for more “get out of the basement” rhetoric, after all it’s all guys like you got.

  91. @ lovedabirds

Please insert facts into your rant please. In all the case files not once is Vick diagnosed with being a Sociopath nor is it founded that he “got off” torturing dogs. Someone made an opinion to that and now Vick Haters are running with it. If all it takes is for someone to read a few definitions of the word “sociopath” and then turn around and say “Yep that fits Vick” then there would be no reason to have doctors of psychology. Anyone can give clinical diagnosis in that case. All your rant is is nothing more than your opinion. So If I’m blindly defending Vick then how come you’re not blindly condemning him? You’re not close to the case nor close to anyone involved in the case, you read the same documents I have. There’s no special ‘insider” information you have over everyone else so why is it that you’re not as blind. Is it simply because I’m defending and you’re condemning? If I’m blind then so are you.

Until you provide actual case evidence that suggest Vick is a sociopath or “got off” torturing dogs, then let it go. Holding grudges is not healthy.

I will wait for more “Vick is a Sociopath” rhetoric, after all it’s all guys like you got.

  92. @Micheal David Smith

What’s wrong with my other post? I’m not attacking anyone or using derogatory terms. What rules am I violating with my posts?

  94. There’s ONE:
    http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/3953160-micheal-vick-determined-a-sociopath-by-officials

    Here’s TWO:
One of the number one questions asked to you in a Psychiatric evaluation is do you, or have you ever harmed animals. The reason they do this is because so many mentally sick individuals that do intentional harm started with animals. Torture to animals is considered sociopathic.

One could spend all day coming up with proof in line with FBI profiling that this guy is mentally defective. Mike Vick has declined psychological testing, he refused. Did you know that? No one has to sit down with him, his behavior is classic sociopath, right down to the uncaring way he spread disease & the unrelenting lying. It’s all absolutely sociopathic work, but I guess according to you Vick defenders, FBI profiling is only for other violent criminals, not your precious Vick.

If you two want to ignore what is so obvious with blind support, so be it. Nothing you guys post change what this guy is, why don’t you accept sticking up for someone that could do the things he did for kicks (not just the animals, ALL of it) is really sick & really blind. The guy has proven over & over as his comments a month ago, that he would do it all again, what kind of people stick up for someone like that? That’s what you should examine, what kind of people blindly stick up for someone so obviously evil.

  95. Well if that’s your proof then you have nothing. That is a story written by someone who heard something. Don’t think so?

    1. According to officials, investigators and police, Vick is classified as a sociopath. Apparently
    – As soon as those officials, investigators, and police identify themselves then you have something. This is nothing more than speculation, not facts.

    2. Look at the stories credibility not very convincing huh? (It’s at the bottom of the page)

Still waiting for a doctor to diagnose Vick, not a random story on the internet.

“His behavior is classic sociopath, right down to the uncaring way he spread disease & the unrelenting lying.”

ACCORDING TO WHOM? You? This website?

There you go making tons of allegations with no physical evidence. Speculation and guessing is not evidence.

So like I said before, provide actual case evidence, not speculation based on a random website or a clinical diagnosis by someone who calls themselves “lavedabirds”

  96. Well I guess i know what side of the fence Mike David Smith sits on this debate. Good job deleting my comment, I guess Positive comments for Vick are against site policy right? Oh, they are not? I guess I shouldn’t have posted a website then, was I wrong there too? No, someone else did it two post above? Well, hell maybe it is Mike Vick bias then. Real professional there Mike, allowing personal feelings to stomp out freedom of speech.

  97. @ gamustangdude & secgreatness (no doubt the same guy)

You seem to read selectively & have trouble understanding what you do read. You are soo busy defending Vick that you intentionally ignore evidence that is overwhelming in regards to his sick behavior. That is your choice, just as it is your prerogative to ignore FBI profiling facts of sociopathic behavior. In case you missed it while you are blowing your top at everyone that knows what Vick is:

One of the number one questions asked to you in a Psychiatric evaluation is do you, or have you ever harmed animals. The reason they do this is because so many mentally sick individuals that do intentional harm started with animals. Torture to animals is considered sociopathic.

You dispute this info as well? You really cannot or refuse to see the connection to health care professionals & law enforcement asking the above question & the ramifications to someone like Vicks answer to that question? Have you ever read the traits of sociopathic behavior? You refuse to educate yourself & belittle anyone that is educated. The parallel to the uneducated in regards to mental illness & the ignorant, uninformed things you & your alter ego say is a direct line.

Why write medical books or document human behavior if there is no similarity between these behaviors? Do you even remotely get this? There are patterns to this type of behavior. Lying, spreading disease, animal torture for fun. It’s sick & sadistic, not my words, the words of medical professionals & law enforcement. Without Vick submitting to this testing (and why wouldn’t he if he knew he was fine?) & his refusal to do so speaks volumes, he’s afraid of what those tests would reveal.

Common sense is a really useful thing, most cases either someone has it or they don’t. In your case, it’s painfully obvious you don’t.

  98. Yes I post as secgreatness on CFT and gamustangdude here.

The only people calling Vick a sociopath are Vick haters, even that website (that has no credibility) couldn’t name names. I have never met anyone named “Investigator” “official” or “police” So just because some website that has no creditability calls Vick a sociopath, I’m supposed to believe it? You be blind not me.

I’m not a doctor nor a psychologist, neither are you, so neither one of us has the classification to label anyone with a disorder. Sorry, but that’s the way this world functions. And until you sit down, talk to Vick, or find a psychologist that has then you can label him whatever you want. But that hasn’t happened. You can read all the books you want but I’m pretty sure you would rather have a doctor perform an operation versus someone who hasn’t formally studied, however have “read all the books.” Same thing here. Leave the diagnosis to the professionals and doctors please. Contrary to your belief they are not public opinion.

And using the same logic you do as calling Vick a Sociopath for “repeated patterns of behavior” I can call him a hero for different types of “repeated patterns of behavior”

You can make all the speculations you want, however neither one of us Knows Vick personally, Talked to Vick, nor knows anyone close to him so bottom line, you are no more than an expert than me. So if you can call him a sociopath with you limited “first hand” knowledge on the matter, I can call him a hero for the same. (I also have a website to back me up too)
