NFL Network’s Albert Breer is pulling impressive double duty today, keeping everyone up to date on lockout-related developments via his Twitter account, as well as dropping notable nuggets about the NFL draft.
The biggest draft story Breer has broken involves Clemson defensive end Da’Quan Bowers.
According to Breer, Bowers has been completely eliminated from at least one team’s draft board, presumably due to concerns about his knee injury and the future possibility of microfracture surgery.
The team that has scratched Bowers — not just dropped his “draft grade” — is reportedly picking in the top half of the first round.
The latest PFT online mock draft has Bowers slipping to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 20 overall.
And it shouldn’t surprise anyone if Bowers falls further than that.
