The Chicago Bears have picked up some more protection for Jay Cutler.
With the 29th pick in the NFL draft, the Bears selected Gabe Carimi, an offensive tackle from Wisconsin.
Carimi was a four-year starter for the Badgers and the 2010 Outland Trophy winner as the best lineman in college football. Carimi is viewed as a player who’s ready to start as a rookie, most likely at right tackle.
The Bears’ offensive line just got better. Cutler should be glad.

What a steal, congrats Bears.
Thank God. I hope this is a guy that can be a cornerstone for years. With what the Lions did, their gonna need him to be a bad ass. I feel the Offensive line is where I want my toughest , meanest, badassed bunch of my team. They set the tone. Gotta love the pick.
cant wait for this guy to deliver one right into clay matthews’s suck hole
Think the bears and packers OL picks had anything to do with the Lions adding Fairley at #13?
I’m chuffed to welcome him to the Bears family! He’s going to be a mainstay for years to come! An excellent start to the draft.
Good pick.
If they can grab WR Leonard Hankerson or a DT like Marvin Austin or Stephen Paea in the 2nd round I will be pretty happy.
Signing a DT like Brandon Mebane might be the way to go in replacing Tommie Harris.
I hope they draft the other four Wisconsin linemen to replace this sorry unit.
As much as it pains me to admit, good pick bears.
Good lord are the Bears a debacle and a joke of an organization. Welcome to 4th place next yr Bears fans.

No.
Do you think the Lions picking 13 had anything do to with them blowing last year???
This is the guy I hoped my team(Tampa Bay)would pick. Unfortunately I don’t think he will help Cutler any. Dude is a turnover machine.
i realy wanted this guy to stay in state and play for the pack, dang………….
