The Buccaneers are compiling a nucleus of high-level employees who not only are good at what they do, but who also can generate a solid sound bite.

Their latest new hire, defensive end Adrian Clayborn, fits that mold.

In a Thursday night radio interview with Justin Pawlowski of WDAE in Tampa (via JoeBucsFan.com), Clayborn said that he plans to “kick offensive lineman’s asses” at the next level.

Clayborn also said that he landed exactly where he hoped to play.

“I wanted to be a Buc from the start. That two-hour wait was worth it,” Clayborn said. “I just got off the phone with [Gerald] McCoy a minute ago. I’m ready.”

And he’s ready to bring the intensity.

“If you’re not playing violent on the defensive line, there’s something wrong with you. Go somewhere else,” Clayborn said.

We’ve got a feeling that, with Clayborn, the Bucs are definitely going somewhere.
