Jets land Jeremy Kerley

The New York Jets went to Texas two weeks ago to work out Texas Christian quarterback.  They also worked out TCU wideout Jeremy Kerley.

They must have liked what they saw. In round five, the Jets picked Kerley.

The 5’9″ receiver-return specialist ran the 40 in 4.56 seconds at the Scouting Combine, which hardly constitutes sprinter’s speed.  But the Jets liked him — and they got him.

    Another nice pick by the jets, who are quietly putting together a good draft. This kid remind me of Eddie Royal. Perfect slot WR.

    He’s quicker than he is fast but he’s good on the slant and not afraid to go over the middle. He’s a matchup nightmare against LB and S.

    Jet fans should hope he’s a bigger hit than Rex’s last 5th round pick, the (Preseason) “Terminator”.

    5’9? Means he’ll get cut in training camp and become an asset for someone else

    The big thing is he has experience running the wildcat. Rarely passed but got about 2 rushes per game.
