The Raiders continue to round up speedy prospects. Most recently, they’ve taken the fastest running back in the 2011 draft class, Eastern Washington’s Taiwan Jones, with the 125th overall pick.

They obtained Jones with the fourth-round pick the Raiders obtained from the Patriots on Friday.

Jones, who ran the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day workout in a blazing 4.33 seconds, recently said that he missed a visit with the Raiders due to travel delays out of Miami. His agent, Doug Hendrickson, then told PFT that Jones had no visit scheduled with the Raiders.

Regardless of what the truth was or wasn’t, the Raiders had no qualms about adding a possible home-run hitter to an offense that has become much more potent under new head coach Hue Jackson, who served as offensive coordinator in 2010.
