Or he knew he didn’t brandish a gun, knew there were people there to see he didn’t brandish a gun and knew they would tell the truth. Besides, his lawyer most certainly interviewed or took depositions from the witnesses. A good lawyer doesn’t ask a question of a witness he doesn’t already pretty much know the answer to; surprises in court are rarely a good thing.

he was injured twice last year…. he did great in camp… preseason…. and before he was injured….

He’ll be back… hopefully lockout isn’t too long though…. if guys aren’t in football shape with all of the off season training…. injuries can happen… if viking players read this….

The Saints players and players of a couple of other teams got together on their own….. I would like to hear You guys do the same thing? QB’s and receivers should be continuously working out timing and so on….. Get together guys… don’t wait for the lock out to be over with.

I think other people when they hear stories to stop to think for themselves what makes sense because 90% of the time some “story” breaks where we don’t know all the facts, in the end it is all obvious.

To me it never seemed very likely that Cook would walk up to a neighbor’s house and brandish a gun in broad daylight. Seemed much more likely that someone would just say that, than for Cook to actually do it.

Why and how could he possibly be punished by the league? He was cleared. The neighbor was probably looking for a payday and started the altercation. Even suggesting a “major punishment from the league” seems ludicrous to me.

I’m hoping Cook comes in motivated and healthy because he did flash some skills last year and played very aggressive and physical while healthy. The coaches were really impressed with him in training camp before the knee issues. We could really use him in the secondary this coming season with Asher Allen unable to tackle or cover anyone, Winfield getting old, and Griffin trying to come back from another ACL.

If anyone knows about busts, it’s a Packer fan. Cook had two injured MCLs last year but looked great before the injuries. Let’s see how he does if he can avoid injury.
