Saints running back Reggie Bush isn’t sweating the lockout. In fact, he’s enjoying not sweating at all.

Bush posted messages on his Facebook and Twitter accounts Monday evening saying that he’s thankful for the time off the lockout has given him, as opposed to having to endure the hard work of organized team activities and minicamps.

“Everybody complaining about the lockout! Shoot I’m making the most of it! Vacation, rest, relaxing, appearances here and there! I’m good!” Bush wrote. “Right about now we would be slaving in 100 degree heat, practicing twice a day, while putting our bodies at risk for nothing.”

After that, hundreds of fans lit into Bush, sending him Facebook and Twitter messages telling him he should suck it up and work hard because he’s a professional athlete making millions of dollars -- especially considering that, after the Saints drafted Mark Ingram, Bush himself acknowledged that he’s going to be looking for a new team as soon as the lockout ends.

However, after seeing some of the intense criticism that came his way, Bush responded that he had just been joking around.

“FYI last tweet was a joke! Relax people damn it’s called sense of humor! Cry me a river why don’t you,” Bush wrote.

Clearly, many of Bush’s 1.4 million Facebook fans and 1.6 million Twitter followers have a different sense of humor than he does.
