For being picked as high as he was, yes Reggie Bush is a bust. He hasn’t rushed for 1,000 yards once and he’s a running back. That’s not the only requirement, I’m just saying had he gone the way of Percy Harvin…playing slot WR and occasionally lining up in the backfield, we would probably have a much better career to look at.

If you can’t run between the tackles you can’t be a successful RB in the NFL, period.

Like it’s his choice whether he wants out or not. He’s out, but not because he wants it. NOBODY is going to pay Reggie Kardashian what he thinks he’s worth. He’s a glorified punt returner who was over-drafted and couldn’t hold Hester’s jockstrap.

I really didn’t know people still believed he was talking about the Hornets game. He would have clarified that by now. Just like he said “FYI people that tweet was a joke” about the lockout tweets, don’t you think he would have at least tweeted, “FYI, that tweet was about the Hornets” after all the responses he got and the media stories? I mean, at least some small clarification? His silence pretty much confirmed what he meant.

Also, there were stories about how Drew Brees “reached out” to Reggie after seeing the Tweet, and Drew said he understood Reggie’s frustration. Nothing about the tweet being misunderstood.

Still wouldn’t make him a bust. Busts don’t stay with their original team for 5 seasons. They’re either cut or traded and either bounce around the league or are out entirely.

Reggies tweets are not making the Who Dat Nation all warm and fuzzy inside……..everyone who has been a fan of this team knows that as quickly as you can become a hero in this town, you can become the Goat……It might be in his best interest to leave cause I cant see the Saints paying a DECOY 11+ Million a year especially a DECOY who doesnt want to bust his ass and get better. He is not as feared in the league as he was in the past….Everyone knows he is soft and will run out of bounds or backwards before taking any contact…and when he does take contact, he coughs up the ball…….Im sure defenses look forward to it when he is in the game cause the rest of us Who Dats hold our breathe! He has never lived up to the hype…..never will either.

Wow…Another week, another African-American words are spun into a negative story to bring on unnecessary attacks on him. Last week Mendelhall. Now this week it’s Reggie Bush turn. I see someone really misses the draft season. Can’t anyone of these athletes, especially the blacks, say something without you fools turning into a self-righeous rant and feeling you need to dictate what they shoould say and how they should behave?

And the constantly ridiculous rational that is spun to justify your attack on everything and everything these NFL athletes do and say is beyond crazy. Man, I never realize how much those in the NFL sports media was hating on these athletes.

Those who can do..Those who cannot sit and hide there jealousy behind self-righteous write-ups.

What are the usual characteristics of a bust?

1. Out of the league after a few years
2. Being terrible in most, if not all, facets of the game

2011 will be Bush’s 6th season. His career YPC is 4.0, he has 294 career receptions, and 4 PR TDs. And in the playoffs, his YPC is 5.2, his YPR is 11.4 and he’s scored 5 total TDs (2 rushing, 2 receiving, 1 PR) in 6 postseason games.

Has his career been a disappointment? Yes. Has he lived up to the hype? Hell no! But a bust? No. Not anywhere close.

While he will most likely never live up to his draft hype, I could see him being successful as a 3rd down back on other teams. (If he indeed does not end up playing for the Saints) If he can stay healthly I can’t see why not.
