Chester Pitts, Raheem Brock pretend to crank call Goodell in new video

NFL Lockout Looms As Negotiations Reach Final Day Getty Images

As the lockout continues, the players are coming up with new ways to fill their idle time.  Seahawks guard Chester Pitts and defensive end Raheem Brock recently filled a chunk of it by creating a video in which they pretend to crank call Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Comedy is subjective, so we’ll leave it to the audience to determine whether they think the video is funny.  In our view, some of it is and some of it isn’t, which pretty much sums up the full extent of our own efforts to induce laughter.

Among other things, Pitts uses his best President Obama impression to tell Goodell to stop being “a douche,” and Pitts reprises his replacement of Goodell’s first name with “Fraudger.”

These dolts have really accomplished something special — making Goodell look almost sympathetic.

Why do people call it “crank call”?? Thumbs up if you think its “prank call” – seeing as how it’s a prank, not a crank.

Wow, that was just flat out terrible. Not funny. Pitts obviously has an over-inflated sense of self worth. Every comment he makes about the lockout just makes him look more selfish and stupid. Did you notice that he did not reference the fans in there one time. Know your roll Jabronie. Know who really signs your pay check. I stopped giving a crap about what you want once they started paying you more money in one year than you would ever be capable of earning in a lifetime in the real world.

  6. CKL says: May 10, 2011 4:42 PM

How much you wanna bet this Pitts guy would be the first one to whine if someone made a stupid gradeschool level namecalling filled video about him?
I don’t like Goodell one bit….but Pitts is starting to sound like a bitter ex-SO with his public Goodell hate.
Yes probably all of us have had people we hate who we work with or for but we complain to each other and our friends & family, we don’t make lame videos about them for public consumption.

  7. johnnyoclock says: May 10, 2011 4:44 PM

More examples of spoiled rich children complaining they’re not rich enough. Chalk up another few percentage points in public favor toward the league.

  8. jennstergersburnedretinas says: May 10, 2011 4:45 PM

In a related story both pretended to be players last year as well.

It’s a nice image two grown men in their underwear giggling like school girls. Must be that west coast water…

Seriously who the hell is Chester Pitts??? Ive never heard of this dude till the lockout and he started yapping off at the mouth… Hopefully he’s under contract already, cause i dont think there is a single owner who is gonna sign this tool..

  23. dreadpiratesteve says: May 10, 2011 5:20 PM

Hooray to these two for making the players look like moronic, childish simpletons and making the league took even better in the process. If the idea was to do something incredibly stupid then mission accomplished.

  32. seahawkhuskyfan says: May 10, 2011 5:42 PM

Wow, I am a diehard Hawks fan and that was just flat out stupid. Chester Pitts was a swinging gate last year when he played. He needs to spend more time in the gym and less time rolling around in bed with our defense.

  33. mystictate says: May 10, 2011 5:43 PM

I want to have football this year but every time one of these IDIOT players open their mouth i am almost hoping these owners do shut down the league if the lock out is lifted and show the players who the real BOSS is. Stop crying you overpaid ignorant players!!!!

  34. TxGrown says: May 10, 2011 5:48 PM

Shouldn’t these geniuses be working out with their idle time? Especially Pitts he is overpaid for his football talent and won’t make any $ as a comedian.

  35. whatswiththehate says: May 10, 2011 5:51 PM

Seriously, if these NFl players fart will PFT have a problem with it? Would it be open to debate as to how each one should fart and whose fart would stink the worst…Would they treat the white players’ farts as a simply stories while self-rigtheously condemning the black players’ farts into nonstop ridicule and cynicism?

I mean…Damn…is there anything left for you PFT guys to write about?

  36. cletusvandam says: May 10, 2011 5:51 PM

I’ve read a lot of stories of this site saying that if the owners has shown a little more respect for the players during the negotiations that things might have gone differently.
Why are the players given a free pass everytime they say or do something like this? How exactly does this help to get a new CBA done?
    Where is this sites outrage?

  37. meatball13 says: May 10, 2011 5:52 PM

  38. chapnastier says: May 10, 2011 6:00 PM

Wow, just wow. I really can’t believe anyone still has respect for the players in this fight. Why would any smart business man want to be in a “partnership” with clowns like this? What a sad pathetic joke of professionals.

  43. bronco1st says: May 10, 2011 6:38 PM

Why didn’t these guys just sign up as witnesses for the owners?

The answer; Obviously the owners hope to win their case and knew dumb and dumber would pull some childish prank to hurt their case.

  44. drednot says: May 10, 2011 6:38 PM

  45. thetechnocrat says: May 10, 2011 6:41 PM

Wow, first he calls out the owners without knowing real facts, then he slanders Roger and others, now he and his husband and doing this? They elected him their union rep? Seattle must have the absolute dumbest and/or uninterested in the union players in the league.

More evidence they should make minimum wage. Besides, they get paid more in college :)

Everyone is getting really gay about the lockout issue…

The video was harmless, yet really stupid. That should be everyone’s issue with it…it was really lame.

  50. elvisny says: May 10, 2011 7:26 PM

VERY mature….morons. I hope Pitts is out of a job this season, his idiocy knows no bounds. And, this is the behavior from a sub-par (at best) player?

  51. bbb82 says: May 10, 2011 7:43 PM

    Stay classy, guys. True professionals.

  52. mattyc says: May 10, 2011 7:55 PM

It is no wonder why the NFL/Owners are holding firm with the Lockout. When the *NFLPA* has complete & utter childish idiotic morons like Pitts as representation, nobody is fearful that common sense will prevail.

The Retarded Policeman & Howard Sterns Whack Pack would serve as better Player Reps than Pitts & the Boozaholic, Mike Vrabel.

  53. folkcrusader says: May 10, 2011 8:00 PM

I’m not sure what is more lame, the video or the idiots huffing and puffing about it.

Two-faced SOBs? Pro-player hacks? This place needs lithium added to the water.

  54. dkeyser says: May 10, 2011 8:05 PM

These guys better watch it if there is a season this year.. They could end up getting unofficialy retired..Dont believe me, ask Kevin Mawae. These guys who are a little older and are running off at the mouth (Pitts, Mason) may soon find themselves at the house sooner rather than later

  58. subzero2401 says: May 10, 2011 9:26 PM

    1. This is a childish & pathetic act they are bound to regret at some point.

    2. Why are 2 dudes laying in bed together crank calling the commish? Couldn’t they have placed the calls from the kitchen or something? Perhaps they’d like player-player marriages to be legalized too. Hmmmm.

hey jackazz, you’re either (1) ignorant or (2) misinformed. chester pitts was one of the few good and consistent O-linemen Houston has had over the years. he played every snap for 8 or 9 years straight — having a car wreck each snap.

    However….
With his admitted aspirations of joining a front office someday, his comments were dumb to make. I’ve heard him in a few radio interviews and he doesn’t have the filter or organization to deliver as a seriously credible source.

  62. winkeroni says: May 11, 2011 9:33 AM

I couldn’t watch the video because I have a weak stomache. Maybe it’s a case of wishful thinking but it would be nice if some of these player reps were representing themselves and their teams in a mature manner. As a fan, the best way for the players to get me on their side is fundraising for charity. They’ve got all this time to not spend with their teams that they could be helping fight cancer or working with less fortunate kids.

  63. dukemarc says: May 11, 2011 11:06 AM

This guy is the Seahawks player Rep??? What a childish d-bag.
