Eventually, the lockout will end. Eventually, free agency will begin.

When it does, Packers defensive end Cullen Jenkins will become a free agent. According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, the Redskins are interested in Jenkins -- and Jenkins is interested in the Redskins.

The Redskins are entering their second season using the 3-4 defense. One of the primary challenges when changing from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense, and vice-versa, arises from ensuring that the right personnel is in place. And that the personnel wants to be in that place.

In Jenkins’ case, his arrival has another benefit. With a brand-new Super Bowl ring that he can flash in the locker room, Jenkins can try to persuade the Redskins to attempt to win a ring of their own.
