FYI, he had a grand total of 159 catches over a 10 year career but stumbled into 4 rings.. Your argument is not valid..

nyjalleffinday & steelerslady,

lots of chuckles. No excuses but as everyone knows Brady was playing with a broken foot. Steelerslady said it best, that game was not Patriots football.

The Jets were the better team that day but to say Brady was/is scared of the Jests is a joke. If a line cannot protect its QB it really doesn’t matter.

The good news is that we root for the best five teams in football based on LY.

nyjalleffinday,

I would rather watch paint dry than check out nyjetscap.com. As of two years ago, most football fans felt the same way about watching jets game on TV if you were not a Jets fan.

I am curious as the jets will not retain all their WR’s, how do you think will stay.I say Tone is gone.

Talk to you on future threads.

@ampats & ynyjalleffinday

I will say this though....Ben played with a broken foot AND a broken/surgically repaired nose which he played with while broken and bleeding and took us to Super Bowl....NOW that's a special kind of QB.....I think you both will agree. :)

No, Flacco won 3. And only time will tell what Sanchez grows into. When I first watched Peyton I never thought he’d be anything special, either. And yes, you can see fear in Bradys eyes when he plays the Jets, and it was never more noticeable than when you saw it in our playoff game. Sports Illustrated got a perfect picture of it for their cover, actually. Don’t give him an excuse, though. He was scared. That’s it. Watch the replays, he makes terrible throws after making terrible decisions, holds the ball too long, took sacks when there was no need, ect. He was scared, simple and beautiful as that.

And hey, me and Rex don’t care if you like the Jets or not. I just ask you give us our due, lol.
----------------------------------------------
Wait I never said Brady is scared when he PLAYS the Jets...just that last game. Im not a Brady fan trust me but there was not something right about him that game...

You may not care but Rex does care whether he's liked or not...it's obvious he's dying for acceptance or else he'd sit back and keep his wide mouth frog trap shut....he would be cool, confident and let his team do the talking for him like Coach Tomlin does.....but one winning game against the Pats does not define the Jets....Until they get to the big show, they aren't foolin anyone. The Steelers may not have won the SB but i was proud that we made it that far after all the adversity we survived during our season...no one picked us to even get that far without Ben for 4 games.....word.

Is it because I didn’t say please?

Sure he has, just not the big big game. I’d consider playoff games big games, and he’s won 4 of those already. It bears repeating that he has 2 years NFL starting experience.

@ampats

Oh, and by the way- I find baseball to be incredibly boring. I could really care less about the Yankees/Mets.
----------------------------------------------
Yes dear it is....LOL!!!

Anway, Joe Flacco has won 4 playoff games as well I believe but I don't see Sanchez becoming of Ben, Brady or Peyton caliber...I just see him as an average QB...but that's my opinion. I see fear in his eyes just like Flacco...you NEVER see fear in Ben's or peyton's eyes...but I have seen fear in Brady's eyes...ok i'll say it... During the Jets game but not that he feared the Jets persay but he just didn't look like himself..something was not right, perhaps his injury but your game against the pats was not of Pats caliber and trust me when I say I HATE the Pats...not a fan of the Jets either..I think its because of Rexy though..he needs a humble pill to swallow...sorry.
This year will tell alot...well hopefully we'll have a season to tell about. Go Steelers!

Yeah, nice Super Bowl APPEARANCES. What was the score of Super Bowl XX again? 45-10 you say? Why would you even bring that up, hahahaha! And by the way, they won the AFC in 1996, not 1995.

I’ve said it before, I know all the teams were doing spygate like activities. But you don’t find it odd how the Patriots just can’t win when it counts anymore? Spygate was the extra oomph to get Hoody and his boys over the hump, they just can’t finish it all with out his beloved cameras.

You do realize, you have an incredibly ordinary team and that Tom Brady makes them look good? Look at Randy Moss, or Deion Branch for instance. Look what happened in 08 with Brady out, 11-5 and no playoffs. That team had just won 18 games the year previously. (snicker)

And that depends. I’d take the Tom Brady of today for like, 1 or 2 years. He’s old. He’s in the twilight of his career. He’s got other stuff in his life he’s more focused on, like his family. Good for him, bad for you. From the beginning of his career, I’d take him over Sanchez in a heartbeat. Mark Sanchez will never be Tom Brady, and that’s okay, because 99% of other QB’s won’t ever be as good as him. But who would I want now? Old Tom Brady or young Mark Sanchez? I’m going with Sanchez. His good years are ahead of him, Tom’s good ones are behind him. And if BB was still the HC of the NYJ, we’d probably be another mediocre team, just like all the teams BB coaches that TB12 isn’t quarterbacking.

And I wouldn’t worry about the Jets. Well, I wouldn’t. You should. We have tons of dead weight to cut, inflated contracts to restructure and a lot of room to work with because if there is football, the rules of the 2010 CBA would probably still apply. Most of those FA’s are just important depth guys. nyjetscap.com could teach you a lot.
-------------------------------------------------
Im sorry to burst your bubble sweetie but Sanchez is not going to be any better than Flacco...winning games but never the BIG onesthat move a team on...........'see you shushed me and look how I have to talk now....tisk..tisk.

————————————————-
Im sorry to burst your bubble sweetie but Sanchez is not going to be any better than Flacco…winning games but never the BIG onesthat move a team on………..’see you shushed me and look how I have to talk now….tisk..tisk.

You should leave that kind of talk to the Packers fans.

Honeybass...Im certainly not a disgruntled Steelers fan after losing the SB to the Packers...they out played us, they deserved it and I honestly congratulate them on that well deserved win

Im simply commenting to a Jets fan from a team who hasn't won squat yet they still brag about ONE meaningless win...yet they have a coach that says his Jets would have beat the Packers...well if you can't get thru the Steelers..you weren't even close to beating the Packers.....just sayin. I would say Steelers actually have bragging rights...

nyjalleffinday,

Sorry to correct you but the Pats won the AFC 25 years ago in 1986 and then again in 1995.

I will agree with you that there are many more Pats fans since 2001 around the country but I can tell you that there are many fans like the Jets have win or lose.

I expect more of you than spygate since the Pats won the AFC after Spygate only to lose in the SB to the team that has ruled NY/NJ football since eternity.

As far as your statement that the Pats fail as Tom Brady goes, I believe it is called having a franchise QB who has won the league MVP 2 out of the last 4 seasons . One of those 4 seasons on IR.

I would be interested to know how many Jets fans would rather have Mark Sanchez than TB as their QB? If someone actually says they would brings up the Forrest Gump line "stupid is as stupid does"

The bigger issue is what could have been if BB remained HC of the NYJ in 2000 ?

Lets hope we have football soon so we can see what we have on our rosters as the NYJ have alot of holes today (before FA).

And as you know I must wish you a Happy 42nd !

I understand your anger .

You make all these bold statements and such about loser franchises, but you forget how much time the Patriots spent as one. 41 years without a Super Bowl or even an AFL title, about, if I recall correctly, and I do believe I do. Everybody knows that there were no Patriot fans before 2001. The Patriots franchise owes Tom Brady a big one.

Have you prepared for life without Tom Brady? Do you think the Patriots will just stumble onto another QB like him? Hahaha. Isn't it funny, that every time that Tom Brady fails, the Patriots fail alongside him? Have you not questioned why they haven't won anything since Spygate? I imagine Tom Brady will have a wildly successful regular season, and then will immediately lose in the playoffs. Can't wait for the Pats in the cellar again

My Old Friends nyjetsalleffingday and jetsarestacked,

I guess thats the difference between the NE Patriots fans and the Jets fans,

Anything less than winning it all is considered failure while the Jets fans are ecstatic about making to the AFC Championship game only to get destroyed. But then again, when your team has not won anything in over 42 years you need something to celebrate.

jetsarestacked, what are you basing your predictions on since 40 % of your starting O&D are currently free agents. Sorry,I forgot everyone wants to play for Rex.

I am also guessing you both must be NY Mutt fans in baseball because every Yankee fan I know thinks the same way we do here in New England when it comes to winning Championships.Anything less than a World Championship is considered a failure.

And now I must excuse myself as here in New England we still have two teams in other winter sports still competing for titles as your best hope may come as soon as October. And to think you have two teams in each sport that are done.

I look forward to future conversations when we have real football to look forward to. If you know anything about the NFL, last year has nothing to do with what will happen this season especially with a roster filled with as many questions "today" as yours.

Ah my old nemesis, tweaking Pats fans is 10x more fun, the Dolphin fans are near-braindead. You lot also tend to be a lot more stuck up, and get butthurt when the dying "Patriot Way" comes under fire. I don't even care about Spygate, it's just hilarious how twisted in a knot you guys get over it.

But alas! You kid yourself if you think the Pats weren't humiliated. The Pats third touchdown came in poop time, after a thorough undressing by the Jets defense. Mark Sanchez looked like a superstar out there, and the confusion and agitation on the faces of Hoody and Brady were priceless. Nobody gave the Jets a shot, and not only did they win, they whipped 'em. Did you see Braylon Edwards drag your two pro-bowl DB's into the endzone with him? Think of that as a metaphor.

And 45-3? Haha, 28-21 made that incredibly irrelevant. But oh how the mighty have fallen! Brag about those regular season Super Bowls. We have more, remember? ;)

To answer your question, the Jets won the mantle of "Team to beat in the AFC East." Keep winning the division, watching the Pasts fold in the postseason is priceless, and that only makes it funnier.
