Nick Mangold has a new mentor

Businessman and possible Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump speaks at the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce Expo luncheon in Nashua Reuters

Jets center Nick Mangold, who sports a fairly unruly mane of hair, has spent some time during the lockout working as (wait for it) an apprentice for a man who is very well known for an even more unruly head of hair.

Mangold has worked for Donald Trump, and video of his experience is included in Trump’s Fabulous World of Golf, on the Golf Channel.

The video is worth watching, especially for the moment when Mangold brings his new mentor a Diet Coke.

Mangold’s segment appears in the finale of the series, which airs Monday, May 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

And, yes, we expect the comments to this article to be littered with opinions regarding whether Trump should run for president, whether he shouldn’t, and whether he should or shouldn’t have pushed the whole birth certificate issue.  For the record, we prefer that he not run for president, primarily because it would bring to an end (for now) his Apprentice/Celebrity Apprentice franchise.

Trump is very serious about running for president. He’s already filed his campaign bankruptcy papers.

Did Nick have to show his birth certificate?

Its perfect. That’s the 2nd idiot Mangold works for that has an overinflated opinion of himself and continues to make stupid statements. Only difference is Rex is not a racist. Just as Obama in one week wrecked Trumps political aspirations, when the season starts the league will show Rex Super Bowls are earned and not talked upon. The Jets and Trump. Perfect.

Along with his new mentor, maybe Nick should consider a new tailor.

thumbs down if you are a republican.
thumbs up if you are NOT a republican.
    just curious.

In 2012 after President Trump is inaugurated we can look forward to Mangold being named a Special Envoy to conduct negotiations with OPEC.

Look for Gary Busey, LaToya Jackson, Star Jones and Lil Jon be appointed to Cabinet posts as well.

Obama shouldn’t underestimate Trump. It wouldn’t be the first time he’s forced a black family out of their home.

Way to create a misleading poll that gives the first choice second and the second choice first (the thumbs up choice should be written first). You also lumped democrats, independents, green, non-political, and others into a group called “NOT republican”. What does this poll tell you?

The funny ironic and sad thing, the trump drive for attention political aspiratioins would never have surfaced if Obama would have been at least fairly competent at his job…Which he hasn’t, except for killing bin laden, which took balls, his economic plans for this country have failed miserably, he really has done nothing but wait for the re-election campaign…..And NO i have no party lines, it’s just the way it is……Typical politician who worries more about his party than those whom he was elected to serve

That was funny the first time I heard on the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump. If you’re going to rip someone else’s material, at least quote them, you spank.

Sounds like we need to add a middle finger to the poll.

Trump: “He actually has to go to WORK now.”

“Nick, your in a lockout and your gonna lose alot of money.”

Trump is obviously going to be pro owner. Those are all his buddies.

But Im with the owners too, so FLING THAT HAIR Donald!

Nick was obviously a fish out of water in the board room.

Nick will be flipping burgers soon if the lockout continues.

Go back to work Nick. Tell Brady, Peyton, Brees and the rabblerouser Smith that you make alot of money, and because of the owners offer, youre going to make even more money, and youre walking across the line.

I am a conservative and I think Trump is a joke. I hope he doesn’t run ugh.

    @youbettcha

While I agree that the poll is a bit misleading, the pollster did also leave out so-called independent tea-baggers….97.843% of which are just angry Republicans and will vote that way when it comes down to it.

JW731….I bet you know that opinions are like anus, we all have one, the smart people don’t say to much, the stupid ones say what ever they think people want to hear, don’t like Obama, vote for the best republican you can find, or as Rush said, ” come back when you have the votes “Bill

Ouch! The anonymous “Miss Manners” of a sports message board chastises due to the lack of joke attributions!

Does it get any lower than that?

I don’t think so. Consider me properly humiliated.

Don’t consider yourself humiliated, you’re just unoriginal.

Faux pas… I’ll admit to failing to read sec. 34.b of message board joke protocol. You win this battle but the war is far from over!

I consider myself Republican, but Donald Trump/Sarah Palin are freaking JOKES!!! after Bush Jr, we need a legit republican canidate that isn’t a punchline or a typical BillOReilly Zombie, I’m just not gonna vote in the next election, if Obama wins, I can live with that, I would just cross my fingers that Oprah isn’t on TV anymore so I don’t have to feel uneasy every time she gets way to uncomfortably close to his family.

Nick Mangold just lost a lot of respect associating himself with a tea bagger like Trump.
