i.e. – make bold predictions of winning the Super Bowl that they haven’t been able to make good on for 42 years

At the very least the Bills have been AFC Champions twice in the last 20 years. That’s much more than Jets fans can say about the last 40.

But I suppose if Rex Ryan keeps promising he will win the Super Bowl – guaranteed – enough, at some point in the next 40 years that might come through.

Recent trend of winning is new to this franchise? Maybe if you consider 10 year record (during the cap era) as new and/or recent.

Either way, better than a trend of predicting SB wins & falling short.

I have always thought Goodell over-reacted on the video taping. New to the job and felt that he had to show who was in charge. He also worked for the Jets at one time, so we don’t know what influence was exerted on him. They were the ones who lodged the complaint afterall.

And they have bascially rebuilt their team on the
fly. They got alot younger very quickly. They
were the youngest team in the league last year,

… though you might not want to remind other fans that those things have been going on for 60 years. They prefer to delude themselves that this is all new, and that only one team has ever engaged in such practice…

… and most certainly not the grandpoohbas of the NFL like Hunt and Halas.

And why not? They’ll get paid exactly the same as long as they don’t miss any games.

While less established teams with new coaches and players are sure to be at a disadvantage, again, they get the entire spring and summer off and all get their full pay.

The quality of the sport is sure to suffer, which is unfortunate, but if my boss told me I could get a full year’s salary but not work in the Spring and Summer, I don’t think I’d have any incentive to negotiate a quicker return to work either.

Or is he just better than everyone else?
