Julio Jones: Foot is great, now I can start running

NFL football draft prospect Julio Jones of Alabama talks with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell at the NFL PLAY 60 football event in New York AP

Julio Jones had perhaps the single most impressive performance at the NFL Scouting Combine despite running with a broken bone in his foot.

Ten weeks later, Jones is the Falcons’ first-round draft pick, and he has declared on Twitter that his foot surgery was successful and he can run again, this time on a healthy foot.

“Heading back to Atlanta from Charlotte I had a recheck on my foot everything went great now I can start running #WINNING,” Jones tweeted, adding a Charlie Sheen-inspired hashtag.

So after showing off at the Combine what he can do on one healthy foot, Jones will soon start to show off what he can do on two healthy feet.

This guy is going to be a stud! The Falcons offense is going to be dangerous…

He’d better be great. The price was astronomical.

On behalf of Cleveland Browns fans everywhere, I would like to thank the Atlanta Falcons for wanting this guy so badly. And I hope he is the answer to all your prayers.

You certainly were an answer to ours…

You are certainly welcomed. Draft picks are alot like

money, it doesn’t matter how many(much) you have,

if you don’t know how to use it (them).

    Note to athletes:
#Winning was only funny when Charlie Sheen said it. Once again, please stop with the #winning hashtag. It has quickly become akin to Austin Powers and Borat one-line impressions.

Man – people are KILLING this trade. I guess it’ll be interesting to see who has a better next 5-10 years…Falcons, or Browns.

Not worried about this guy at all. Porter, Greer, and Jenkins will have him and White covered, no problem.
