A convincing, well-thought-out retort.
…coming from the proud owner of about 50 of the 88 responses on this thread.

But I do have an appreciation for bitter and angry people with no life and, by every possible indication, more spare time time than everyone else on the planet, having the sack to call anyone else a loser.

Chutzpah, my man.

Glad that you can come to grips with the fact that you are a bitter and angry person with no life and, by every possible indication, more spare time time than everyone else on the planet. And judging from the nearly 200 "thumbs down" that I got on more than one of my posts on this thread, it appears that this is a near epidemic in New England.

As for the 50/88 replies crack, I'd be willing to bet that your total post count here on PFT far exceeds mine, as well as the total time that you have spent here on PFT far exceeding the less than a week that I have been here posting. Look in the mirror if you want to see the real loser, rc33. Or just go down to your local watering hole and look for any dufus in a Pats jersey.

It would be nice one day to see this guy with out Brady.

Hey idiot, how about the year Tom Brady was out all season and the Pats still won 11 games with their backup QB? I'd love to see Rex Ryan without Mark Sanch...ehhh nevermind, one talks too much and the other is a game-manager/backup...so they can stay together and hype their average offense all the way to the off-season. QB's and coaches are linked together in football, they are not dependent on one another. It's the nature of the game. Maybe if you had a franchise quarterback...assuming you're a Jets fan...you would have to deal with the same clowns making the same assertions that your coach would be nothing without his QB. Only then would you realize how annoying and unfounded such claims are. Until then...enjoy LT?...and...Rex Ryan's wife's toes? Wackest most overrated team in football.

You never said anything about Shannahan getting rings without being fined, you said Shanny got his 2 SB rings without being caught cheating. Truth of the matter is, he won 2 rings, while being caught cheating the salary cap in both years……whether he was fined personally or not, he cheated, just like Cowher (salary cap violation), just like Shanny (salary cap violation), just like Don Shula (tampering), etc….

If you had said, “atleast Shanny got his 2 rings without being fined for cheating”, you would have a point, but you didnt say that did you? You said he got his without being caught cheating. Your response to my post is trying to talk about of both sides of your mouth, to quote you, “try reading what the words say”. What your words say, has nothing to do with Shanny not being fined, but only mention never being caught, which he was caught, you my friend, FAIL

____
Shanny wasn't responsible for the salary cap, Dave Blando was Denver's salary cap director from 1997 to 2001. So it was Blando who was responsible. Shanny was not "caught" with anything, unlike in the Pats case, where Belichick was the one who actually had to turn in the evidence (the tapes) that he was caught red-handed with to the Commish. You FAIL once again.

At least Shanny got his two SB rings without being caught cheating. Yes, cheating is the proper term for what he and the Pats were punished for.

Tell me you are joking right? The Broncos were fined, and they lost draft picks as a penalty for violating the salary cap. They were paying players off the record. That is arguably more reprehensible than what Belichick did. You can call Belichick a cheater all you wont, and Belichick earned that from the fans, but lets not gloss over the others that have been caught and penalized:

“NEW YORK — The Denver Broncos have been fined $950,000 and will lose their third-round pick in next year’s NFL draft for circumventing the salary cap between 1996-98.

The penalties were levied Thursday following an agreement involving the league, its union and the team.

The violations included agreements between the team and several players to defer salary payments with interest and an agreement not to waive a player before a certain date. Both raised issues with accounting for the salary cap.

In addition to the penalties against the team, the NFL said an agent for a former player agreed to donate $100,000 to charity. Neither the agent nor the player was identified.”

____
How much did you say that Shanahan was fined again? Nothing, you say? That's right, the TEAM was fined, not the coach. The coach was unpunished. As opposed to both the team and Belichick being fined in the case of Spygate. Sorry but you fail here.

Bozo, you likely have 50% of the posts professing how much you hate Belichick and the Patriots. We definitely get it by now. That jailed former IMF head isn’t sweating bullets over his predicament like you are over this.
Decaf my man, decaf.

__
Find me ONE SINGLE POST where I say that I "hate" Belichick or that I "hate" the Pats. Try reading what the words say instead of projecting how you feel about other teams on what other posters say. Also. please note that every post that I make gets a response, therefore someone else must care more they want to admit. Including you.

All I have to do is to look at all of the "thumbs down" responses to see who "really cares". Lots and lots of homer Pats fans, that's who cares. LMAO

Decaf my man, decaf.

__
Find me ONE SINGLE POST where I say that I “hate” Belichick or that I “hate” the Pats. Try reading what the words say instead of projecting how you feel about other teams on what other posters say. Also. please note that every post that I make gets a response, therefore someone else must care more they want to admit. Including you.

All I have to do is to look at all of the “thumbs down” responses to see who “really cares”. Lots and lots of homer Pats fans, that’s who cares. LMAO

"NEW YORK -- The Denver Broncos have been fined $950,000 and will lose their third-round pick in next year's NFL draft for circumventing the salary cap between 1996-98.

Neither the agent nor the player was identified."

Wow, you Pats fans are more pathetic than vike fans. You’re kind of a sensitve bunch. You can’t argue with the fact that the Pats have done nothing since they’ve been forced to quit cheating. Plus, Brady is done now, too, he’s more worried about his pony tail than playing football. You’re about to enter an abyss deeper than the one the vikes are in.

Enjoy the season (assuming there is one)!

“No wonder why this country is going to hell in a handbasket.”

I’m not sure if this exactly what you’re implying but I’ll clear it up anyway: I’m not condoning cheating. All I’m saying is that to discredit the Hood for having an advantage other teams did not is likely wrong. Of course, I’m not an NFL employee or even an”insider”, but I would be willing to bet that it’s more equaled out than one would think.

“@Bubby Brister: this particular thread is not a forum on cheating in the NFL per se, but rather a consideration of how great is Belichick when the benefit of videotaping is factored into his success. Pats fans would argue it is minimal, while other fans might argue it was significant. The historians will weigh in after he retires. More confidential sources may be revealed once it no longer has any impact on Belichick’s career. There is some evidence that the league itself buried some damning evidence to prevent a more widespread scandal in 2007 and previous seasons.”

Same point I made to bozoforall. If you want to factor in the videotaping to his success, you also should take the time to factor in that his competition was probably doing very similar things. Now, Belichick very well may have done more than we know about. Time will tell on that one.

__
Probably? Then why was no one else punished?

Whoa!!!!

Anybody on here that has ever coached knows that its impossible to achieve any level of excellence as a team sports coach when you are in a negative, cancerous environment.

I'm not the biggest Belichick guy, but nobody could have survived in Cleveland at that time. Arthur the Rat had reached the bottom of his pit and was doing every act of sabotage short of the movie Major League to move the Browns to Baltimore. His only failure, that you can really pin him on, was the call he made on Bernie. I suspect he would like a "do over" on that one.

Who Belichick really is has come out over time.

His success has been amazing.

He deserves a ton of credit for developing Tom Brady. How many of you would try to argue that Brady would have developed into the quarterback he is if he went to any other franchise? The majority of teams probably would have cut him if they gave him a free agent look.

Not very many people on the planet could achieve the level of excellence in his profession that Belichick has.

Ps. I dislike New England.

@Rhode Island Pats Fan:
"I agree that historians will factor the videotaping into their assessment of Belichick’s legacy, just as the Associated Press voters did when they voted him NFL Coach of the Year for 2007, the very same year the “scandal” came to light."

Those are the same AP voters that voted Brian Cushing Defensive Rookie of the Year a SECOND TIME after it was revealed that he used a banned substance during his rookie season. Apparently they don't consider cheating as an important consideration in awards as fans do. BTW, Cushing has never been the same after he stopped cheating, and some would argue that neither has Belichick.

Pete Carroll? Are you kidding? A .500 career coach in the NFL and made millions at USC while running a dirty program and the Seahawks are paying him $7 million! Wow!

@Bubby Brister on a side note I would personally love to see a steroid olympics and then a non steroid olympics. I want an all out cheating sport, guys all juiced up would be fun to watch. I want someone to an 8 second flat 100! Now that would be fun and i would guarantee the tv ratings would be thru the roof!

@Bubby Brister: this particular thread is not a forum on cheating in the NFL per se, but rather a consideration of how great is Belichick when the benefit of videotaping is factored into his success. Pats fans would argue it is minimal, while other fans might argue it was significant. The historians will weigh in after he retires. More confidential sources may be revealed once it no longer has any impact on Belichick's career. There is some evidence that the league itself buried some damning evidence to prevent a more widespread scandal in 2007 and previous seasons.
