And judging from the nearly 200 “thumbs down” that I got on more than one of my posts on this thread, it appears that this is a near epidemic in New England.

As for the 50/88 replies crack, I’d be willing to bet that your total post count here on PFT far exceeds mine, as well as the total time that you have spent here on PFT far exceeding the less than a week that I have been here posting. Hey idiot, how about the year Tom Brady was out all season and the Pats still won 11 games with their backup QB? I’d love to see Rex Ryan without Mark Sanch…ehhh nevermind, one talks too much and the other is a game-manager/backup…so they can stay together and hype their average offense all the way to the off-season. QB’s and coaches are linked together in football, they are not dependent on one another. It’s the nature of the game. Maybe if you had a franchise quarterback…assuming you’re a Jets fan…you would have to deal with the same clowns making the same assertions that your coach would be nothing without his QB. Shanny wasn’t responsible for the salary cap, Dave Blando was Denver’s salary cap director from 1997 to 2001. So it was Blando who was responsible. Shanny was not “caught” with anything, unlike in the Pats case, where Belichick was the one who actually had to turn in the evidence (the tapes) that he was caught red-handed with to the Commish. You FAIL once again.

Tell me you are joking right? The Broncos were fined, and they lost draft picks as a penalty for violating the salary cap. They were paying players off the record. That is arguably more reprehensible than what Belichick did. You can call Belichick a cheater all you wont, and Belichick earned that from the fans, but lets not gloss over the others that have been caught and penalized:

“NEW YORK — The Denver Broncos have been fined $950,000 and will lose their third-round pick in next year’s NFL draft for circumventing the salary cap between 1996-98.

The penalties were levied Thursday following an agreement involving the league, its union and the team.

All I’m saying is that to discredit the Hood for having an advantage other teams did not is likely wrong. Of course, I’m not an NFL employee or even an”insider”, but I would be willing to bet that it’s more equaled out than one would think.

Anybody on here that has ever coached knows that its impossible to achieve any level of excellence as a team sports coach when you are in a negative, cancerous environment.

I’m not the biggest Belichick guy, but nobody could have survived in Cleveland at that time. Arthur the Rat had reached the bottom of his pit and was doing every act of sabotage short of the movie Major League to move the Browns to Baltimore. His only failure, that you can really pin him on, was the call he made on Bernie. I suspect he would like a “do over” on that one.

Who Belichick really is has come out over time.

His success has been amazing.

He deserves a ton of credit for developing Tom Brady. How many of you would try to argue that Brady would have developed into the quarterback he is if he went to any other franchise? The majority of teams probably would have cut him if they gave him a free agent look.

Not very many people on the planet could achieve the level of excellence in his profession that Belichick has.

Those are the same AP voters that voted Brian Cushing Defensive Rookie of the Year a SECOND TIME after it was revealed that he used a banned substance during his rookie season. Apparently they don’t consider cheating as an important consideration in awards as fans do. BTW, Cushing has never been the same after he stopped cheating, and some would argue that neither has Belichick.

@Bubby Brister on a side note I would personally love to see a steroid olympics and then a non steroid olympics. I want an all out cheating sport, guys all juiced up would be fun to watch. I want someone to an 8 second flat 100! Now that would be fun and i would guarantee the tv ratings would be thru the roof!
