Heck, Cooper has blamed the Coast Guard too… This guy just walks around blaming folks at random for his son’s death.

It was a sudden accident and I feel for his loss, but he doesn’t have the right to defame folks.

There is no “Mentalist” conspiracy here. There is no murder. And PFT should take a little responsibility here giving Mr. Cooper a platform for his craziness without offering proof of what he’s saying.

people need to be realistic. i know someone whose son just died in a canoeing accident. the kid took a lot of risks. his dad knew about it, and doesnt seem to be blaming everyone else in the world or looking for a scapegoat.

To the folks that think what Bruce Cooper is doing is just fine and a proper form of mourning? Well, keep in mind his wife has tried to commit suicide while he’s been busy on this skipe hunt for blame. This skipe hunt is also most likely going to lead to Schuyler’s publisher to file lawsuits of defamation against Cooper, which there have been threats of.

They proper way to mourn your son and his memory is to not notice the depression of your wife and almost lose her to suicide and get sued into bankruptcy? Wow! Some folks here just don’t have a clue.

I’d cut him some slack and cut Schuyler the same for being mostly low profile since the accident.

All Cooper did here was sell more copies of a book most people didn’t realize was even published.

Unless you have a kid, you can’t even begin to imagine what it would feel like to lose one.

And he’s right, a lot of Schulyers story was complete horse crap

I don’t have a problem with him writing a book about it, there are plenty of people who would have liked to hear the entire story. But how much of the money he is making off the book is he giving tot he victims family? If Schuyler isn’t giving each family as much as the profits as he is making then I think the other parents have every right to speak out against him.

He would not be given the chance to write this book had Cooper and Corey Smith’s deaths not made this story national news. Writing a book about the story, and exaggerating or lying about the events is a pitiful attempt to profit from his friends deaths. I applaud Mr. Cooper for saying something

My point is that I don’t think its grieving. I believe he is BLAMING the survivor. He also says he “knows for fact” he isn’t telling the truth.

Well if he “KNOWS FOR FACT” that the survivor is lying, then he needs to spell it out exactly what he knows, and how he knows it, or leave that kid alone.

Either come up with PROOF that you KNOW what happened, or LET IT GO

Dude, you cannot put a time frame on how someone grieves at the loss of a loved one, especially a child.

The reason he doesn’t want to believe the story is largely because Schuyler said that Marquis Cooper is the person who accidentally capsized the boat. He doesn’t have any evidence to contradict anything Schuyler said, other than he doesn’t want to believe it.

How is it shady for Schuyler to write a book about what happened?
