Im going to Philly in June… staying in the business district, whats the nearest chesse steak and what hoods to avoid?

------------------------------------------------------------

First I am not sure what a "business district" is, so i am going to guess your going to Center City. You have many good choices. First off China Town is great for food. And if you looking for a cheese steak , Tony lukes is good but far from where you will be. Jim's on south street is good and a lot of the just indy pizza places are good. Just do your self a favor and stay away from Genos and Pats as neither are that good, unless you need to eat at 4 in the mourning. Then they are the only places open so it works. oh and don't go past Christian street going south and don't go past Lehigh going north and you'll be just fine.

----------------------------------------------------------

As far as people equating what the Eagles or almost any other team does in free agency to what the Redskins do is a joke. The last ten years has been one fail after another for the redskins. And the Eagles who haven't hit on every free agent have done pretty well. So yeah Philly being "aggressive" is much better than washington being that way. In fact washington shouldn't sign anyone.

HUGE assumption there. By Eagles fans' count that's about 12 championships they've won, in the offseason.

So the Skins management has made good decisions and they say they’ll be aggressive in PA and get lambasted. The Eagles say they have an aggressive plan and it’s like “Okay, good for the Eagles.” My point is it’s a new Redskins but everyone wants to act like it’s still Cerrato and Snyder making all the decisions. If Allen and Shanny want to go aggressive than I trust that their aggressive is a lot smarter than Snyder and Cerato’s aggressive. No seems to want to recognize that Shanahan and Allen and much smarter.

-------------------------------------------------------

Yeah but like I keep telling you guys, Snyder's still in the equation. He just can't keep his hands off. People talk aobut Jerry Jones but at least he's achieved some measure of success in college football as a player and as an NFL owner.

So the Skins management has made good decisions and they say they’ll be aggressive in PA and get lambasted.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Because Washington has a long history of making idiotic mistakes in FA, where Philly has done pretty well.

And to say that Shanny changes everything... Right, Fat Albert anyone? Maybe he didn't pick the guy, but he sure did pick the change to the 3-4 defense. He sure did nothing to make Albert less disgruntled and basically allowed 20 mil to get flushed down the toilet.

If the Washington team was half as successful as Philly, there might actually be reason for Washington being the 2nd biggest money making franchise in the league.

Blah, blah, blah, blah. That's all I hear any more when Reid talks.

Big f'n deal, you want to be "aggressive" this offseason. We all know you'll choke if/when you make it into the postseason anyway, so who cares?

Apathy really is the right word. I've been a fan since the early 90's and every year that goes by, the less and less I care about this team.

Until Reid is gone, they can be passive or they can be aggressive, it'll still lead to the same place. Reid won't ever win anything.

the Mcnabb trade blew up in the skins face but that's Mcnabb's fault. He doesn't want to learn the playbook, doesn't want to wear a wrist band. It was a good trade on paper and it was an incentive based contract. The Cerrato Snyder regime would've gave him 35 mil. guaranteed whether he played well or not. So even though he didn't play well they can still cut Mcnabb with out losing much. I say it was worth a shot. Watch, next 2-3 years, the skins will make a turn around.

He should have stated, if the time comes as it looks more and more as it will not.

Next when one looks at all the teams in the NFL that went big in Free Agency over the last bunch of years one sees it did nothing but set the teams back and did nothing to help a team win.

As for Nnamdi?, dream on as Nnamdi has already meet with Mr. Davis during the short time the Lockout was lifted and will be resigning with his team the Oakland Raiders. After all he is and has always has been a Raider Born and Breed and who would want to trade Northern California in for Philly?, you are joking right lol

FinFan don't over look the coaching additions they have made to the coaching staff. With the additions of Mudd and Washburn as O and D-line coaches they have the talent to be great look what those guys did with less talent in indy and tennessee.
Throw in the young SMART guys they have eagles are gonna be right in the mix... as always

ilpackerbacker says: May 23, 2011 7:32 PM

Man, screw the Eagles. I love how a bunch of their fans started a web site called 4thand26.com and sold a bunch of t-shirts, after that game. LOL – yeah, nice Super Bowl win they got out of it – not. On the other side, Packer fans have seen their team win two in the last two decades.

Meanwhile, Ted Thompson will spend ZERO in free agency, and will still emerge with the deepest roster in the NFL. But you go Eagles – go waste more money – you still won’t stop Aaron Rodgers or Clay Matthews. But good luck, LOL.

--------------

Shouldn't you be trolling your rivals rather than some random NFL team? Are you really still that butthurt over 4th and 26?

Your team won the Superbowl. After the Eagles were out, my friends and I were cheering for the Packers - mostly because we consider them to be a great team with a great fanbase.

But while we're gloating over things that happened forever ago, tell me -- who was the only team to ever bear Vince Lombardi in the playoffs? Eagles, baby!

Shouldn’t you be trolling your rivals rather than some random NFL team? Are you really still that butthurt over 4th and 26?

Asomugha and Samuel would be a crazy CB duo for the Eagles but if they were smart, they would spend the money in the trenches. Eagles are way to soft on the D-line and the O-line gave up 52 sacks with the fastest QB in NFL history!!! If Kolb played all 16 games it would've been 70. Eagles would be a serious contender if they shored up the lines. They are one of the best teams in the league at the skill positions but you don't win in the playoffs being a finesse team.

@ilpackerbacker, Ted Thompson is not the brightest guy. He was lucky the 49ers front office was stupid and drafted alex smith. As an eagles fan for as long as I can remember I don't love our front office, but the team is more consistent than any franchise over the last decade without cheating. The steelers and colts are in the same group. The packers were the best this year I like them but they only are a contender every 6 or 7 years.
