The antitrust exemption is the one thing that makes the game so watchable, week after week.

The owners want a permanent pass on future antitrust claims, while players are not likely to surrender that ammunition. That’s way more significant than a lost paycheck…and a clear sign that this thing is going to drag out a lot longer than people think.
