This is the effects of playing in a small market. Fans of other teams don’t get to see the pieces of the team that make it better, and not just the superstars. Caddy is one of the best 3rd down backs in the league because he’s an above average receiver for a back. More importantly, he’s near elite as a pass blocker. He’s great at diagnosing the blitz, getting to his landmark, and using leverage and physicality to throw a block. And there were times when he gashed defenses last year running the ball. He’s a smart player and a good influence on Blount. Watch every 3rd down play for the Bucs last year and you’ll see how important Caddy was to them. Unless his demands are simply too high, I don’t see him going anywhere but with the Bucs.

There goin for caddy for his blocking. Not as much as his running. If u watched the bucs last year he was a huge part of our ability to convert on 3rd down. His blocking is one of the best outa running backs in the league. I’d love to see him back in TB to protect Freeman

I don’t agree that Cadillac is a better fit than Reggie Bush and/or Sproles. Both of those guys are everything Cadillac plus offer a return game and have shown they’re more durable than Cadillac (which isn’t hard to do, honestly) which warrant being paid more. I love Cadillac, I always wanted him to succeed, especially since coming off his first knee injuries, but realistically, loving him and wanting to endure his pains are two different things.

Cadillac is holding workouts in Tampa with Josh Freeman, He’s a leader in Tampa. Tampa loves Cadillac and Cadillac loves Tampa. He’ll be there until he hits empty. This article is nothing but speculation…Cadillac will be in Tampa for the rest of his career.

I would not like to see this happen…there is still gas in that tank and the Rams need a quality guy like Cadillac to help Jackson with the load. Cadillac isn’t done, but he will still be more likely than Jackson to get hurt!

if the bucs keep to form of the last 6 0r 7 years, they will wait for the guys that have no market for them.

Since the first 3 gms of his career, Carnell has been average at best. He’s a feel good story and has a great nickname, but at 3.5 yds per carry, he offers nothing as a running back.

In Tampa, we’re getting younger and more physical…. and Carnell doesn’t fit into either of those categories.

Am I the only one who thought this was going to be a story about how Steven Jackson was in financial straits and the team was going after the company Cadillac to endorse Jackson during the lockout?

I mean, it was a far more plausible scenario than anyone thinking Cadillac Williams can help a backfield, right?

That’s a good look by the Rams, however, irrelevant. Courtesy of the lockout everything is just speculation and will probably not come to fruition.
