We don’t think we’re that close to preseason games being cancelled just yet, but we do know a few dates when training camp plans will be affected.

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that a labor deal will have to be reached (or the lockout lifted) by July 15 or the team won’t hold their training camp at Georgetown College, their usual location.

This follows up a similar report by Albert Breer that said the Jets would need an answer on the lockout by roughly July 1 or their training camp would not be held in Cortland. After that point, the teams would presumably hold camps at their home facilities.

July 15 will be an interesting date to watch. Breer believes that’s the rough deadline for a deal in order to miss preseason games.
