Ahman Green’s bid to play in three football leagues in as many seasons came to a quiet conclusion on Sunday.

The Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League cut Green on Sunday, only three months after they signed him to compete for a starting job. The former Packers star showed up to training camp with an injured hamstring and the Alouettes didn’t wait around for him.

Green had a so-so season for the UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks last year. It’s uncertain if he’ll try the UFL once again.
